Midnight's POV

"For god sake!" I shouted. Link looked up at me.
"Mother dearest, please stop trying to destroy my room. You're a ghost. Its not going to work." Link said lazily. I swiped at the glass on the table, only for my paw to go straight through it.
"Midnight, calm down. I know your angry but you have to calm down." Slender Man said. I glared at him, before swiping at his ankle. Flames erupted around his leg. He looked down amused, as i gasped.
"Good. Youre becoming more powerful." Slender said with amusment. I stared at his leg with confusion.
"Link. Could you pass me the water please? It is starting to burn." He ordered. Link threw a glass of water over his leg, immediately smothering the flames.
"But how did i do that? I mean, im a ghost." I said faintly. Link grinned at me.
"Count yourself lucky Mum. If anyone else had done that, they would have gotten a beating." Link chuckled. I smiled at my son.  He was growing up so fast.
"I dont know. Its probably something to do with the fact that you have such powerful parents. Opal is one of the most powerful witches in the world. Zalgo is... Well, Zalgo." As Slender said that, there was a knock on the door. I gritted my teeth.
"Link, I know your Mum is in there. Can you let me in?" A soft voice asked. I hissed at the door. Opal. Link leapt up and opened the door. She smiled at him lovingly. Next, her eyes rested on me, and her smile died.
"Midnight, i want to talk. Please?" She asked, sitting beside me. I nodded swiftly, not looking at her. I looked at Link, who was being dragged out of the room by Slender.
"Midnight. Im sorry. I was going to tell you when you and Jeff came to take the spell off, but you looked happy... i couldn't tell you." Opal said softly, tears slipping down her face. I sighed deeply.
"My entire life has been a lie. I thought i was a normal teenager with a normal family. Now, I'm a creepypasta, and my dad is an evil sadist guy that clearly has some serious mental issues, and my mum is a really powerful soceress, person. And lets not forget the fact that I'm dead. I mean, seriously? Talk about family issues. Even Jeremy Kyle couldn't sort this out!" I said passionately. Opal smiled. Then she frowned.
"Who is Jeremy Kyle?" She asked curiously. "It doesn't matter. What I'm trying to say is, I'm still adapting. I died a long time ago, almost 16 years ago now.... but i still can't get over it. It's hard. Especially when I saw my son grow up, but I couldn't comfort him or hug him.  He can touch me; I don't know why but he can,  but I can't touch him.  And it's killing me." I whispered. Opal nodded and sighed sadly.
"I know. And I'm sorry. I didn't want this.  I wanted you to be a normal teenager with a normal life. To grow up and be happy." She said softly. I nodded, before licking one of my paws. Opal smiled.
"I have to go Midnight. I'm sorry but Zalgo wants me. Link, Slender, I need to talk to you." Opal said softly, before slipping out of the room. Slender Man and Link looked at each other, before following her. Sighing deeply, I decided to wash. What can I say? I'm a cat.

Link's POV

"What's going on Opal?" I asked quietly, running to catch up. She glanced back at me and smiled softly.
"I have a plan Link. A very good one. But... it's going to be hard for everyone. So just please bear with me." She pleaded and I nodded slowly. A plan? A plan for what? Just as I was going to ask, Opal took a sharp turn and went into the training room. Slender and I followed but when I got in there, I yelled in shock. Jeff had Jess against the wall, making out.
"My eyes! My beautiful eyes! For crying out loud, I'll remember this for the rest of my life now! Thanks for that! Ugh!" I stumbled around the room, my eyes closed. Someone smacked me across the back of my head and I yelped. Slender I'm guessing.
"S-sorry Link." Jeff said, laughing his flipping head off. Jess giggled and I opened my eyes, glaring at them accusingly.
"Right. Once everyone is finished, I need you to follow me. Actually... I'm sorry Jess, but can you go and sit with Midnight?" Opal asked. Jess sighed.
"I can't even see her but fine... where is she?"
"My room." I said quickly and she nodded, pecking Jeff's lips before slipping out of the room. I groaned and made puking noises in the background.
"Shut it you. When you're in love, you'll understand." Jeff smirked and I blushed, looking down. Opal made an impatient noise and we all looked at her.
"Link, I have a plan. But this next choice is yours. I need a meeting with all of you because you were all close to Midnight. So... do we want your father and Zalgo there or not?" She asked quietly and I frowned.
"Dad... yes. But Zalgo? No. I refuse to be in the same room as him." I snarled.
"Link... this plan will not work without Zalgo. For this meeting, he won't be there. But he'll have to be for the actual plan." She said firmly and I scowled.
"Is there any way of doing it without Zalgo?" I whined just as my dad wandered into the room. Watching him, sadness washed over me. His shoulders were hunched, his eyes bloodshot and sad. Watching my father slowly turn into this was heartbreaking. How he was in pictures with my mother, was the complete and utter opposite of him now. The day mum died, the light left his eyes and he turned into an empty shell of what he once was. If that was falling in love, then God help me.

"Zalgo is a very big part of this plan Link. Get your anger under control and be the better person. Please." Opal pleaded and I sighed irritably.
"What is this plan anyway? And someone should go and get Midnight. I'm not agreeing to any plan without her." Dad frowned and I nodded in agreement.
"Well... this plan is ABOUT Midnight. She can't be here. I've got an idea." Opal bit her lip nervously.
"And what is this plan exactly?" Jeff asked carefully. Opal looked down for a moment before looking up again.
"I know a spell. But I need all of you and Zalgo to complete it."
"And what does this spell do? Seriously the suspense is killing me. I have no patience." I muttered. Opal sighed.
"I can bring Midnight back."
