Chapter 1: Max

  It was a normal day or as Jayla thought. Jayla was turning 18 today. She was very excited about her 18th birthday. Jayla was going to have a party at her house. Jayla invited all her friends and they invited all of their friends. Jayla went to a school called RedWood High. She loved that school and all of her friends. Jayla had a best friend name was Ashanti. They have been best friends since the six grade. Jayla and Ashanti did ever thing together.

Jayla and Ashanti was at school bout to leave their social studies class and go home. After the bell rung it was time to get the party ready. Jayla and Ashanti had agreed that Ashanti will get the decoration and Jayla will get the food. Jayla and Ashanti both went their separate ways to get the supplies. Once they both got the supplies they meet at Jayla's house.

Ashanti started blowing up balloons and hanging decorations. Jayla got out plates, forks, spoons, and cup. Jayla also started putting the food out. By the time Jayla and Ashanti were finish it was time for the party to start. After a while a lot of people started to show up. Jayla was having a blast at her party until a loud boom came from the kitchen. Jayla ran in the kitchen to see what the problem was.

There stood a man with all black on. "Who are you?" Jayla said. The strange man said "I am here to get rid of all humans that possess the power of the dragadons". Jayla said" What is a dragadon?" The man said" Dragadons are humans that can speak and ride dragons". "Dragons don't exist and you need to get out of my house right now", Jayla said. "Oh, what might that pretty little thing around your neck might be?" the man said. Jayla said" I have always had this neckless since I was a baby". "May I have a look at it?" the man said. Jayla said" NO and get out of here".

The man used his magic powers and took the neckless from around Jayla's neck. "Give that back!", Jayla said. The man turn the neckless over and he saw the markings of the Dragadons syllable. Before the man could pull out his gun to kill Jayla, Max flue in and grabbed her. Max stared flying away from that town and went somewhere safe that he knew. Jayla was surprised to see that dragons really exist. Jayla pinch herself to see if she was dreaming. When see pinch herself she was still in the air with a dragon holding her.

Max flue down to an island and put Jayla down. Then Max stud in front of her and said" Hello Jayla, I am Max your dragon". "I thought dragons didn't exist or they were only in fairy tales", Jayla said. "Well we do exist and I am here to save you. That man back there was going to kill you," Max said. Jayla said" why is he trying to kill me and he said something about dragadons". Max said" Jayla I want you to listen close to what I am about to tell you, ok". "Ok", Jayla said. "When you were born your real mother was a dragadon and so was your father but he died fighting to save you and your mother right before you were born. Your mother went somewhere safe to give birth to you and when she did she died, but right before she died she put that neckless that the man took from you so one day when you turn 18 I would show you all about dragadons and your powers", Max said.

Jayla said" My powers!!!!!!!! I have powers!!!!". "Yes you do but, you won't be able to use them till in the morning",Max said "Why in the morning?" Jayla said. Max said" Because that when your powers will fully awaken and now try to go to sleep". "On what, this hardground. I don't think so", Jayla said. Max said "Check again and see if it is hard". When Jayla check the ground was soft and fluffy. "How did you do that",Jayla said in a wondering voice. Max said "This is a magic Island and what ever you want it to be will be it". "So since I said the ground was too hard for me to sleep it made itself soft", Jayla said. "Yes", said Max. So Jayla and Max both went to sleep on the nice soft/fluffy ground.
