Chapter 7: The Flame

Infinite World

"Hey Jackie." I said as I put my head on the table bored.

"Yes?"

Jackie was putting books she just bought at a book store onto her bookshelf in her room.

"Are you putting the books in order?" I say ignoring what I was about to say.

"Every book have different spells and abilities. For example," Jackie picked up a book. "This book has healing spells," she then picked up another book, " And this book has attacking spells."

I nod my head to look like I understand, although I really dont.

I sigh and look out the window while Eden was out shopping for food and better weapons. Zen also went with her to get a better weapon for himself. He is very picky with what he wants so he went along with Eden.

I leaned back and tilted the chair while looking up at the ceiling. Why is it so boring?

"Isn't this game supposed to be not boring?" I shouted. Then the chair fell backwards and I fell with it making a loud 'thud!'.

Jackie put her book down in the table and stood up to check if I was okay. She then shook her head and started laughing.

At the outdoor shopping mall

Zen's POV

I yawn as I hold boxes and bags of fruits and other things. Eden was looking at weapons trying to look for a better sword for Zuri.

I look around and thought that I needed a break, so I put the boxes on the floor and walked out of the building. I then looked around the area.

It's really crowded, I thought. I'll go to the forest and train while Eden is shopping.

"Zen!" Eden shouted from behind. I flinch thinking that I was in trouble. I look behind me to see Eden with a disappointed face. She sighed and crossed her arms.

"I guess it can't be helped. Boys don't like shopping afterall," she said her face changing into a smile. "Go on. I'll take care of things here."

I stay frozen for a while and try to figure out what just happened. Then I started walking away slowly and down the road towards the forest.

I walk through the calm forest, birds chirping, the sun rays going through the leaves of the trees.

As I continue walking on a path, I see a fire on the ground in the middle of the path way. I stand there thinking that this was probably a trap, watching the fire burn on the ground.

Should I leave it be? Or should I get rid of it?

The flame grew little by little as seconds went by. Then I heard a bird cry coming from the fire. I walk closer to the flame, then the flame blew up. Like literally blew up and grew really big.

I watch the flame grow and back up slowly. The flame then formed into a shape of a bird.

"Just as I thought," I said crossing my arms. The flame disappeared and the wind became stronger.

"A Phoenix."

The bird cried really loud, flames forming on the tips of his feathers. His eyes had a bright green color in it looking straight into mine. I stood still looking back at his eyes to show him that I was no threat.

Then a big wave of water appeared over the tree tops and towards the Phoenix.

"Your mine now!" A voice called behind me.

I turn around to see a beast hunter on a water beast.

"A Hydra." I look at the huge beast with the hunter on it's back.

The Phoenix flew away from the wave before it hit him.

"Thats impossible. No one can tame a Hydra!" I watch the battle between the beasts. The beast hunter was yelling at the Hydra, telling it what to do. Then I saw something in the Hydra's eyes on one of its heads.

"Thats right," I said getting ready to fight the beast hunter. "It is impossible!"

I get my staff out and change its form into a sword. I jump onto the Hydra and took a big leap over the beast hunter.
