Under the moonlight

Under the moonlight, I saw.
The beauty of your eyes so bright,
The emerald green so deep,
As the rain-forests of a forbidden jungle,

Under the moonlight, I saw.
The twinkle in your eyes,
The happiness, the life,
The same eyes in which I saw, fear and a lie.
Under the moonlight, I noticed.

The glitch in your eyes,
The same glitch bringing out much loathed memories,
Under the moonlight, I saw.
The pain and the anguish,
Caused by our mistakes of the past.
Under the moonlight, I saw.
The vulnerable man,

A perfectly imperfect human,
The same person, I plan to spend  the rest of my life.
