Part Six - The Beach

PART SIX

Ashton jumped straight off me and stood up as quickly as he could. I could feel my cheeks burning up by the second.

"Does anybody want to explain?" I heard the voice slightly giggle and looked up to see Michael. 

"Nothing, he was just leaving." I glared at Ashton for his cue to leave. He got the hint and grabbed his clothes from the night before and headed out of the door.

"I'll talk to you later." Michael said as he made eye contact with Ashton.

This is brilliant. Not only did I have to spend a night in the same room as Ashton, but now Michael is on the floor laughing historically. I sat up and lay my head in my hands.

"Don't tell me you can now be added to Ashton's list of girls he banged?" He had finished laughing and was now leaning against the wall.

"Don't be stupid! He was trying to annoy me by tickling me." I patted the space next to me and he came over and sat down.

"I was joking! I still can't believe you haven't realized yet." I rested my head against his shoulder.

"Realized what?"

"That Ashton likes you." He chuckled slightly at my face in confusion.

"He doesn't like me Ashton, we are basically enemies!" 

"Ashton's way of showing a girl that he likes them is by being a complete and utter jerk." He explained. 

"Well I don't believe a single word of that." At this point I was up and fixing my hair. Due to being pinned down, loose bits had fallen out of the pony tail.

"Just you watch Brooke. Now c'mon, we are all going to the beach." We both got up and grabbed a few things we needed. I also changed into a bikini, flip flops and a loose dress.

The thought of going to the beach actually sounded like good idea. I really needed a break and I hadn't had much chance of getting a tan. We rushed downstairs and met up with the other guys. They had their hands full of sun cream, towels and games to play. We greeted them and headed out of the hotel to the beach.

A FEW HOURS LATER

"This is just what I needed." I was currently lying on a towel with my eyes closed, soaking up all the sun. 

Luke, Ashton and Michael were all playing in the sea, while Calum and I were sunbathing.

"It feels like we haven't had time to relax in forever." Calum said while licking his ice-cream to catch the sides that were melting.

"You boys are always busy." I said and we both slightly chuckled.

"How are you anyway?" He was now biting into his ice-cream rather than licking it. I laughed at this view and quickly snapped a photo.

"Exhausted, but happy." I passed him a napkin to wipe the ice-cream from around his mouth.

"Sorry to interrupt ladies..." A familiar voice said. I turned around to see Ashton holding a rather large bucket filled with sea water. "...but duty calls!" He then moved the bucket in my direction, causing all the water to spill onto.

"Ashton Irwin you are so dead!" I screamed at him.

"Only if you can catch me sweetie!" He smirked and sprinted away. Without thinking, I got up and sprinted towards him. "Is that as fast as you can go?" he chuckled and continued running around the beach.

I felt my competitive side come through, and quickly picked up my pace. As I caught up to him I jumped on his back and caused him to fall out the floor. I rolled off him and was laughing hysterically. However this time, Ashton was laughing too. Once we both calmed down he sat up and looked down at me. 

"I must say Harte, you are one fast runner." He chuckled slightly.

In that moment, It went quiet and my eyes were locked onto Ashton's. I didn't feel the hatred I normally do towards him, instead I felt butterflies. We looked at each other for what seemed like forever before he started to speak.

"Brooke I-" he was interrupted by cold water hitting the both of us. Luke, Michael and Calum were all in hysterics at the sight of us both completely drenched.

"You do realize what we have to do?" I said to Ashton and he smirked.

"Let's get them Harte" We both shot up and chased them while we all were giggling uncontrollably.

And that is the day when me and Ashton started to get along.

Wow guys, It has been so long since I have updated. I didn't think i'd go back this story, but today I changed my mind.

I really hope I didn't  keep some of you waiting for too long and I hope this was worth the wait.
