Looking Glass

"Is this thing on? Hello? Oh! Hi. My name is Azelaura Cannings and this is going to be the last you see of me. I've been told to record my last moments, so that if I ever get lost I can find myself again. They all think that I'm actually going to forget who I am, because they've seen it happen so many times before.

But they didn't really tell me what to say, so I'm not exactly sure what to put in this. Um, I love reading and hope to become a published author someday. I'm a straight A student and I don't have many close friends. But I don't get hated on either. I think it's because I blend in so well with the shadows, it's like I'm not even there, so I think most people forget about me.

I'm not really sure what else to say about myself that would make me remember who I was. So I'll just say that I'm not going to be me for a while. I've been put in Witness Protection and I have to start everything over, become a different person in a different place. I'll have to step out of the shadows and into the sunlight for this to work.

So future me, if you are forgetting who you once were, well this is it I guess. Not really much to it as you can say. But I don't think you'd do that, forget about me, yourself, uh you know what I mean. You're too much like me, you can't forget what I have always been. And I guess that's why this happened to us in the first place, we just can't let go. Maybe that's the problem, maybe you do need to let go. But that's for you to decide. So I'll see you soon."
