After 12 foster homes I think I finally found the one to call home. Either they didn't want to care for me anymore or just got bored of it and said they didn't want to foster kids anymore. After 5 months at my 11th home I finally thought I found the one, until her husband passed away then she just gave me up for adoption for the 12th time.

I slowly packed my stuff because tommorow morning the local care foster would come pick me up once again and I'd have to wait and wait for someone to come and adopt me. The only reason I'm in this predicament is because my dad died in a car accident when I was 5 and after that my mom started drinking heavily and doing drugs, getting DUI's and now she's in prison for 3 years. They think she's a unfit mom so chances are I'll never see her again.

I cried and cried all night long thinking why, why do I have to be in this situation. Out of any person in the world it chooses me, my dad, my mom & now I'm unwanted by everyone. It was raining out, but by the time I packed all my stuff and got everything ready I was so tired that I fell asleep on my floor.

"Carly! Get up, they'll be here in a half hour." yelled Janice.
I didn't answer her I just rolled over and looked at my clock, it read 7:00 a.m. I drug myself out of bed and made the bed back to how it was when I first got here. I got my clothes I left on my dresser and put them on & threw my hair up quickly.
"Carly are you up!" yelled Janice.
"Yes, don't worry I'm ready!" I hollered back.
Ever since Bob died 2 weeks ago she just bitches at me for everything I do. I am only 14 and I'm expected to know everything and do everything right. I put my socks and shoes on and started to grab my things, I know how to do this since I've done it multiple times. I grabbed everything in my room, shut my light off and away I went.

The floor boards creaked as I took each step down the oak wood steps. When I got to the bottom I set my things in front of the front door, Janice was gone into the kitchen probably making breakfast as its only 7:23. I grabbed my coat and slid my arms into the cold material covering my skin, I walked to the living room and sat on the couch watching the daily news for Cammington.

***Bzzzz***Bzzzz***Bzzzz***
That was the doorbell I knew it was time to go and of course Janice ran to the door. She opened it and said,
"I'm here to pick up Carly Cavaugnah."

She replied with "Yes one sec, CARLY!"

"Coming." I mumbled to her.

I got up off the couch and walked to the door, I put my backpack on picked up my 2 suitcases and said "I'm going to miss you Janice, goodbye." I could feel my eyes tearing up but I slowly walked to the van that I had rode in numerous times. I opened the back of the van plopped my things in and closed it. I slid open the van door and buckled up.

"Thank You Janice" said Casey the foster worker. I heard it but it was very distant. She started walking back to the van and I knew this was going to be one hell of a rollercoaster. Round 12.
