"Are you sure this is going to work?"
I sat in coach Johnston's office not even thirty minutes later, and it just occurred to me that I'm still in my blood stained shirt.
Coach, Sid, Duper, Geno, Olli, and a few of the other people from the coaching staff were still at the arena when I got back here and they all immediately followed me into his office.
It took me ten minutes to spit out what had happened and then another five to calm down has Sid comforted me.
He then told coach what had happened before that and then they all started coming up with ideas to get him arrested without the media finding out.
Coach ended up calling his friend that was the head of the police department and talked to him about it. He said there was definitely a way they could bust him and keep it on the low.
"I'm positive Kolby. You don't have to worry about it anymore, okay? I will take care of it."
I couldn't say anything. I was to tired and my throat was sore; I felt defeated.
"Cub, don't be mad but I called Beau." Olli whispered and before I could even reply, the door flew open.
"Kolby, are you okay?! What happened?! Olli told me you were-" He stopped talking the second he saw my shirt and the dark bruises around my neck.
"I'm going to kill him!" His voice was cold and loud. It caught me off guard, making me jump.
"Beau, calm down, we already have it fixed." Sid stood up, grabbing Beau's shoulder as he paced next to him.
"Is he in a grave?" When no one answered him, he threw his arms up in the air. "Exactly."
"Beau, you need to calm down. I found a way to get him arrested and his place in California raided. Once they find everything, he'll be in jail for a long time." Coach crossed his arms and pointed to the seat next to me.
Beau took a deep breath and sat down, not even glancing at me.
I could tell he was mad but I didn't understand why. Either way Jake was going to get arrested, I just decided to do it in a way that will save us all the hassle.
"Maybe you should go to the hospital Kolby." Olli whispered. He glanced at me but instead of his gaze catching mine, he caught the sight of my neck and shook his head.
"Maybe you should worry about yourself." Beau snapped.
"Beau, knock it off! If you're going to act like that than you can go." My reply surprised everyone.
Beau stared at me for a minute before he realized I was serious. With a clench of his jaw, he got up and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Even though I knew it was Beau and he would never hurt me, I still jumped.
"Thank you Oll's but I'm okay."
"No Cub, you really should. Or, at least let our medical personal in the building look at you."
I sighed, knowing no one was going to drop it so I slowly nodded my head.
Coach called him into the office and he was there within two minutes.
"That's some severe bruising you have on your neck Kolby. I'm going to prescribe you some ibuprofen 800 to help because it is not going to be fun the next couple of days." He wrote a few more things down before turning back to me. "Any where else?"
"Yeah, my elbow."
I could tell there was a bruise on it without even looking. It was sore and almost felt broken but I knew it wasn't.
