I blinked, trying to get a grip on what the heck was happening. "Huh? Margo, what's going on?" I demanded, glaring.

"Ah, I guess my secret is out" Margo smiled. "I've turned, Elliot. I'm no longer a hero. I'm a villain. And a good one too"

That took a minute to register. "A...a villain? You mean....HOW COULD YOU?!" I finally screamed, suddenly aware of everything around me. Percy had stopped his coughing and was now unconscious. Grover was now backed up in the corner of his cell, wide eyed and shaking, no color on his face. And then there was Tal. She was sobbing harder though I knew she was trying to be quiet.

"Jonas" Margo turned to the guy on her right. "Why don't you go finish the job over there?" She pointed to Tal. The guy-Jonas-nodded, pulling out his dagger and walking towards Tal.

"DON'T TOUCH HER!" I shouted, shaking. It was too late. Jonas had Tal pinned on the ground and was cutting into her thigh deeper, and longer. Tal was screaming, sobbing, and pleading for mercy. Before I could stop myself I had Margo tackled and pinned on the ground, sword to her throat. "MAKE HIM STOP! SHE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?" I screamed, touching the tip of my sword to her throat.

"I wasn't born with powers, Elliot. So, while my siblings excelled as healing, or hunting, or music, I was left with nothing. Do you know how annoying that is, Elliot? Very, very annoying. So I decided I want revenge. Revenge on the gods for not blessing all their children. Doesn't that seem like the only right thing to do?"

I blinked, processing what she was saying. She couldn't be serious. Could she?

"I don't understand...it's not like Apollo abandoned you. He stayed with you until you were three, Margo. He gave you those cards and..."

"You mean these?" Margo threw me off her and pulled out her deck of cards, throwing them at me. "Keep them! They're stupid, anyways!"

I scrambled to get up but before I could Margo was over and on top of me, pinning me to the ground. "Give up now, Ryder. Before it's too late. You can join me. Killing Percy, Annabeth, and Grover will spark the rebellion. And of course we can kill Atalanta. Oceanus doesn't care much for his daughter, anyways."

"Wait, hold up. Oceanus is Tal's dad?!" I asked. I knew there was no use asking Tal. She was now unconscious. From what I could see her pant leg was a bloody mess. A deep gash ran from her hip to her knee. By the looks of it, she was losing a lot of blood. I had to get these guys out of here. "What will it take to get these guys out of here safely?" I asked Margo seriously.

Margo only smirked. "I'll do you a favor and let you guys go freely. Only if you can get out of here under a minute. But know this. Next time, be prepared to fight." She slowly got off me, only after smashing the heel of her boot into my forehead. I instantly saw stars. I heard a crack and the sound of metal against metal. I groaned quietly.

Grover ran over to me somehow, "C'mon Elliot, get up. Please, we have to get out of here" He pleaded, trying to get me to my feet. I did a lot of help by crumbling forward, spiraling into darkness.
