Ok so I've never put any of my stuff online for people to read before...it's usually just something I do to make me feel better. It's not very good, and its not exactly finished, but I wrote it to help me get over something haunting me for a while. Here it is...
The Last Lullaby
Close your eyes.
Forget this cold world, you can leave it all behind you.

Drift off into nothingness, leave your weak shell behind you.

Empty the life from your veins, leave your memories behind you.

And sail down a river of the tears that you shed,
a lifetime behind you, a new one ahead.
