Callie's POV:

Bill pulls into the driveway of big house. It's bigger than Stef and Lena's. "We're here. Are you ready?" He asks.

"If I don't like it here I can still go back to Stef and Lena's, right?" I ask cautiously.

"They would like to adopt you at some point, but yes, if something happens or if you feel like you need to go back to the Foster's you can go. I just want to remind you that kids your age don't get adopted a lot, so if you want to leave I suggest you really think about it Callie." He warns. I just nod my head. Foster homes have never been this flexible. I've never been able to go to one and if I don't like it go back to a better one. It just doesn't happen.

We get out of the car and I grab my bag. I had put the necklace that she had given me on in the car. Now my hand is up to my neck holding onto it like it's my life line. I left their house five minutes ago and I already miss them all.

I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and follow Bill to the red front door. He knocks three times and it opens revealing a short woman with a pixie hair cut. "Hello! You must be Callie. I'm Helen Armstrong, but you can all me Helen or Mrs. Armstrong what ever you feel most comfortable with," she says with a huge smile. "Oh geez, you're not even in the door yet. Come it, come in! Just set your bag on that chair and I will have Tyler bring it up to your new room."

I set my bag on the chair next to the door and stand there awkwardly. "Would you like a tour of the house?" She asks. I nod.

"Well, I'll leave you guys. Call me if either of you need anything." Bill says before leaving and shutting the door behind him. Then that left Helen and me.

After the tour, Helen shows me where my room is. I open the door to see a white full sized bed with a matching white dresser, desk, and two bookshelves. "You can re-organize anything you want and once you get settled in you and I can go shopping for anything you want to make you feel more at home. For right now you can unpack and get settled. The sheets and comforter are in your closet. You'll have to share a bathroom with my son, but other than that you should have your own of everything. I'll be in the kitchen so if you need anything just come and ask me." She starts to walk out the door, but she turns around and gives me a big hug. "I really hope you like it here, Callie." She says and then walks out of the room and down the stairs.

My bag is sitting on my bed, Helen's son must have brought it to my new room. I put all of my clothes away. My jeans, leggings, and shorts in one drawer, all of my shirts in the next. I got to the closet and sure enough there are two pillow cases, sheets, and a silver comforter. I make the bed and look around my new room. It has light purple walls and white accessories, but other than furniture there is nothing in here. I check my phone and text Brandon. 'Hey.'

I smile to myself when I get an almost immediate answer back. 'How's your new family?'

'Your family is my family, but they seem nice." I reply as I sit on the hardwood floors and lean against the wall.

'That's good. How's the new foster brother?' He asks.

'Haven't met him yet. How's Jude?'

'He cried for a little bit after you left, but moms distracted him with ice cream.' I laugh to myself. Jude has always had a sweet tooth, what twelve year old doesn't.

'I miss you guys already.'

'I miss you too. I'm so sorry, but I have to go. Since I'm not at school and was in the hospital for my piano lesson my teacher wants me to come in for a make up. My dad's here to pick me up. I'll talk to you tonight?'

'Yep. Have a good lesson with the Grim Reaper ;). Love you.'

'I will try. Low you too.' I grab the white sling purse that Mariana gave me and head downstairs to the kitchen.

"Callie! This is my son Tyler," Helen says when I walk in the room.

"Hey," I say to the boy.

"Hey. I'm Tyler, obviously," he says. Tyler has dark brown hair and vibrant green eyes. He's tall like maybe 6'1. Overall he's pretty attractive, but not as attractive as Brandon. I have no pull to him at all... Thankfully.

"So do you want to go shopping for your room or clothes or whatever you want?" Helen asks.

"Sure that would be nice," I reply. I can finally make a bedroom my own.

"Great! Tyler would you like to come with us?" Helen asks her son. Why is she so happy about me being here? I barely understand why Stef and Lena love me and want me. Why would a woman that's never even met me?

"Sure."

"Okay. The car is in the garage. Let me go get my purse and we will leave." We both nod and Tyler gets up and heads to the garage. I follow him. This should be interesting.
