Chapter One - The First Night

It's a cold and windy night, rain heavily pours on the rooftop and down the windows. It had been raining for going on an hour or so. All you hear is tapping on the roof and the puddles in the streets. Once in a while the wind will make a whistling sound and the trees blow back and forth. Every now and again a car will slowly drive by splashing in all the puddles in its path.

Sabrina's favorite kind of weather is rain and thunder. For some reason it always puts her in a relaxed mood. She could be having the worst day ever and the sound of rain and thunder can turn her day upside down. Even when she was a child the only thing that could calm her was being able to hear rain and thunder.

Today was the first night she was spending in her new apartment with her boyfriend Carter. They have been dating for about a year and a half. After a night of dinner and dancing they came to the conclusion that it was time to move in. After all, they were together during 85% of their waking hours. The other 15% was when they were working. Sabrina is the head secretary at the Cardiologist office a few blocks away from their new apartment. She's been working there for going on 4 years. It was definitely a plus when Sabrina and Carter found this apartment. It was a closer drive for the both of them. Carter has been working as a security guard for the last 5 years at the Court House on the other end of town. Their new apartment cut off about 30 minutes from his driving commute to work.

Sabrina and Carter met at the Courthouse about two in a half years ago. Sabrina has a tendency to speed when she is upset and ended up getting caught. One night she was doing 100 mph on the highway at around midnight. She had a fight with her mom and was angry by the end of their conversation. Carter was the one who was checking her bag when she walked thru the metal detector the day she went to court to take care of her ticket. Carter and Sabrina caught each other's eyes a couple times that day. Carter purposely decided to go to lunch just a few moments before Sabrina walked out the door. He stood outside in the parking lot and waited for Sabrina to come out.

He casually bumped into her and said "Oh I'm sorry, I must have been day dreaming. I saw a beautiful woman who looked exactly like you inside. I couldn't get her baby blue eyes out of my head."
"Are you trying to sweet talk me?" Asked Sabrina
"I just know a beautiful woman when I see one. And right now, I'm looking at one right in the baby blue eyes."
"Hmm, you're the one who checked my bag when I went thru the metal detector aren't you?"
"Yes, I am."

They ended up going out to dinner and a movie that weekend. It may have been one of your typical date nights, but Sabrina definitely enjoyed herself that evening. Ever since then they've been inseparable. Carter enjoyed hearing her story about speeding down the highway. It actually turned him on a little.

After moving a bunch of heavy boxes around with Carter all day, Sabrina finally decides it's time to relax.

"Ok, I've had enough of this for today. It's getting late and I'm running out of energy. I just want a nice hot shower to complete this lovely rainy night" said Sabrina.
"You're right baby. I'm getting tired too. Let me go turn on the shower. You can hop in first. I'll get the bed and TV ready. We can finish the rest tomorrow" replied Carter

Carter walked past Sabrina to their master bathroom, but before he could leave the room he had just one thing he wanted to do. He gently grabbed Sabrina's face and kissed her softly on the lips a few times.

"Mmmm, what was that for?" Asked Sabrina
"Because I know you find my lips irresistible. And besides, I saw you trying not to stare at them when we were talking" laughed Carter

He playfully slapped her on the butt as he walked by to get the shower started. Sabrina laughed and went to their new bedroom to find her duffle bag. They decided to play it smart and pack a night and a days worth of supplies separate from everything else. That way, neither of them had to go thru millions of boxes just to find a pair of pajamas or sweatpants. It didn't take her long to find her robe, a pair of shorts, and a tank top. She was surprised to find her slippers in her bag too. Sabrina thought she packed those in one of the boxes. Carter must have thought ahead of her like he usually does. He knows Sabrina doesn't usually like walking barefoot after a shower.

"Your shower is ready and waiting for you baby" said Carter

One of Sabrina's favorite things in the apartment is that the bathroom is connected to their bedrooom. It's something she's always wanted in an apartment.

"Thank you" Said Sabrina as she gave Carter a thank you kiss.

"I even plugged up your phone so you can listen to your music"

"You're so thoughtful" giggled Sabrina

Sabrina undressed, turned on Pandora, and got in the shower. As soon as she felt the hot, but not too hot water, her body was even more relaxed. She stood under the water for a few minutes before washing up. She decided to wash her hair in the morning so she could get in bed faster. Besides, she didn't want to get the pillows wet either.

Sabrina jumped a little when she heard Carter in the bathroom.

"You forgot your towel on the bed. Did I startle you? I'm sorry babe" said Carter
"It's alright. You came at the perfect time. I'm getting ready to get out now. Do you want me to leave the water running for you?"
"Sure, I'll go grab my boxers and towel"

Sabrina got out of the shower and dried off. Just as she was almost dried Carter hopped in the shower too. All he did was sweat the whole time they were moving into the apartment. It doesn't take much for Carter to break a sweat. Just one of many things Sabrina see's in him. She loves a man who can break a sweat.

Sabrina brought her dirty clothes into the bedroom and tossed them in the corner next to the door. All they really set up in their bedroom was the bed and TV. A few boxes of clothes were in the corner, but everything else was in the middle of the living room waiting to be taken into their designated areas. Sabrina pulled down the sheets and fluffed up the pillows. She then remembered that they won't have anything to watch. She grabbed her laptop bag from the living room and connected it to their TV. Sabrina downloaded a few movies on her laptop. All she needed was to turn on the hotspot from her phone and everything was good to go. Once she was finished the water shut off in the bathroom.

"Perfect timing" said Sabrina

Carter walked in the room wearing nothing but his socks and boxers. Sabrina bit her lip for a second. She loved his medium brown skin, slim stomach, and his muscular body. After all, it would be easier with a fit body and some muscles working at a court house. You never know what kind of psychos could show up.

"Got everything set up. All that's missing is me, you, and this bed. Pick a movie and press play. Don't forget to set the sleep timer. I'll turn off all the lights" said Sabrina

Sabrina checked the rest of the apartment and turned off the lights. The doors were already locked. She went back in the bedroom and turned off the light as she walked in. Carter chose to watch Vampire in Brooklyn.

"Good choice" said Sabrina
"I know, now bring your beautiful self over here and let me hold you"
"Beautiful? Short shorts and a tank top is beautiful to you?" Asked Sabrina
"Whatever is or isn't covering your body will always be beautiful to me" replied Carter

Sabrina smiled and did what she was told. She rested her head over Carter's chest and wrapped her arm around his stomach. Sabrina looked up at Carter and he gave her one of his irresistible kisses. And just like that Sabrina was falling asleep in his arms. Leaving Carter to watch the movie by himself, but with all the moving they did he'd probably be falling asleep soon too.
