"We'll kill everyone that you care about. And anybody who gets in our way, as you just watch and suffer."
"You're dead!" I threatened as I broke free of the chains that I was in, and growled when I jumped.
As I landed, I jerked myself up with sweat covering my face. Jackie flicked her ears forward as awoke, she gave a sharp bark as my alarm clock went off. I reached over her and smacked the top of it until it stopped. When I got out of bed and picked out my clothes for the day, Jackie circled my ankles, yelping as my phone rang. It was Jessalie.
"Jessalie, what'd you want? You usually don't call me until 7."
"Yeah, I know but it's just that I was wondering if your taking that book again today, cuz I didn't really get to finish it yesterday. So could you pleasssssssse bring it today?"
"Fine, but now you can't call me again this morning, cuz you just did. See ya'bout an hour and a half then."
"Right, bye!"
I finished getting ready for school as my sister was on the computer as her 'break' from college this week. The bus came at about 7:25, so that gave me 45 minutes to give Jessalie to read my book while I taught some more friends the cup song in the lobby. When I got to school, my friend Emalie was staring at 2 new quys. Her boyfriend looked over and she stopped when I paced over to her.
"Hey, um Ambrissa don't those new kids look just like the ones in your dreams, or should I say 'visions'?"
"Well, yeah, but oh that reminds me. My dream last night-."
Erica cut me off, "Ugh! What was it this time Ambrissa? Was it about those two over there? Do you have a crush on them, because you saw them before today?"
"NO!" I yelled loud enough to make a few of the popular kids glance in our direction. "And besides, it was different this time. I was chained to a chair, and there was a man who said that he was going to kill everyone I care about, and whoever gets in the way as I watch and suffer."I finished right before Daniel came to join the group.
"Let me guess, another dream?" He asked as everyone nodded. "Got a question for ya
Ambrissa, do you really believe that these are actually real?"
"Just as much as you want to go out with Jessalie." I answered, gesturing my head toward Jessalie.
"Hey! I thought you promised you weren't gonna tell anyone! What did I ever do to you?" He said as his whole face got a red tint of embarrassment.
"Wow! Just wow, didn't you even hear yourself like 30 seconds ago?!" I defended with a slight laugh.
"They're walking over here, they're actually walking over here." Emalie was squealing as we all whipped our heads around at the same time.
I realized what she was talking about, and the two new kids grinned as they saw us turn around in sync. They stood there for about a minute, just glancing from person to person until they looked at me, and the blonde haired one whispered in the black haired one's ear.
That's it, Iv'e had it. "I know that you're new here and all but why are you just standing there instead of going back to your group? Is Emalie bothering you by staring at you?"
"No. Wait, what, we didn't even know she was." When Emalie started to turn red, they spoke again. "Oh, um is Emalie that one in the back?"
"Yeah, that's me." She confirmed barely above a whisper.
"Anyway, my name's Ryane, with an e on the end. And this is-,"
He got cut off, "Jearron. We were just wondering if you could all come to a celebration that's at our place, it's this weekend." Jearron said.
"Let me guess, it's a birthday party, right?" Daniel questioned.
"You got it. It's ours. Besides you've got a whole week to think about it. Anyway, see ya later." Ryane stated to our group.
"Well, what'da know. It's time to go. Come on guys, let's go." I said hoping it would end the conversation as I motioned for us to leave for first period.
"Ryane, Jearron! Dudes come on let's go, the bell rang." I heard Jason, the most 'popular' boy in the grade call out.
When I got into math, I found everyone except for my two most trustworthy friends, Kylee and Daniel, surrounding Ryane and Jearron. Since it wasn't 8:15 yet, I decided to sit in someone else's desk and talk to them.
"I still don't get it, they're new and get all the attention, but take you for instance Kylee, you were a new kid this year but you didn't get crowded around by everyone. Look at them though, they're so 'popular' which I still can't stand that they look like some of those 'players' kind of guys. What'd'ya think?" I started a conversation by saying this first, trying to make sure that I didn't miss anything in what I had just said.
"I don't know, you basically summed it all up in that or those sentences you just said." Kylee replied.
"Same here, they're probably just gonna turn out like Derek ended up like, except not with a girlfriend like Emalie. A ful-bred jack, -" He paused, "Well ya know what I mean."
"Kind of off subject but, isn't it weird how Emalie almost didn't choose us over the popular crowd, I'm just glad that they didn't accept her. But back to them over there." I got out before Mr. B. came in through the door.
"Alright fun's over, everybody in their seats. Class has started. Since I just received word that Mathia's down, you can work on an assignment from other classes. Just remember that we're having a quiz, not a test but a quiz this friday. So you can, uh." He stopped just as I wished that he would stop talking. He started again, "So you can study for that too, but you don't have to."
All through class I let my mind wander until I was asleep. I dreamt of the party happening this weekend, and I saw Ryane and Jearron thrown against a tall stone wall. It looked like a castle, I heard something creep up behind me and saw Ryane jump for it. I shifted forms into something else and got a glimpse of a massive dark shape with spikes and horns, but I woke up as soon as I jumped towards it.
