*Jason's POV*

I stood outside the door to the unclaimed cabin with Travis and Conner Stoll. Guard duty was one of the most boring times of the day, but I loved looking out on all of the new cabins and campers. It's great to know that I did my job as Pontifex, and based on the stories that Frank and Hazel told me, Camp Jupiter was doing fine as well.

"So Sparky, how's the arm?" Conner asked, causing Travis to slap him in the face.

"What the hell?" Conner yelled. "I was just trying to start conversation!" He continued.

"That is not how you start a conversation with Jason Grace! He was a praetor to New Rome, and even though Percy accomplished everything that he accomplished over the span of his entire life in a day, he is still super important!" Travis yelled in reply. I rolled my eyes.

"Well, how do you suppose that we start a conversation with this almighty demigod that stands in front of us!" Conner argued, along with several exuberant arm movements.

"I don't know! Why not, 'Hey Jason, what is it like living in the gargantuan shadow of Percy Jackson?' Or 'Sup Sparky, when is your extremely hot hunter sister or your super amazingly sexy former co-praetor coming to visit?" Travis mumbled before both of them turned to face me and leaned on the wall. They looked at me smugly, implying that both questions applied.

"Idiots." I mumbled before walking off the porch and towards the stables. Past the several newly built rows of cabins for the Gods and deities that so many people had forgotten about yet several had children that had been unclaimed for years. I passed several of the year round campers who waved and smiled, and Will Solace who smiled at me grimly before walking past into the infirmary.

"That's weird." I whispered to myself before continuing to the stables. I was greeted by two campers in the stables who were grooming some of the Pegasai. I glided over to my Pegasus, Thundercloud's, stable and scooped up a hand full of oats from the pale hanging on her stable door, and held out my hand over the fence. She gladly chomped on the oats, and even though I can't speak to horses like Percy, I knew she loved them. She neighed happily when she was finished and I jumped over the fence. I began slowly and gently grooming her black and deep grey wings, followed by her bright white coat. I then opened up the gate, hooked up her saddle and mounted. She pranced out of the stables and galloped for a metres before lifting off.

"Okay Thundercloud, I was thinking just a quick look around the camp and then we can try some tricks. Sound good?" I questioned as she she flew upwards quickly before coming to an abrupt stop roughly 100 metres off the ground. She neighed in approval and began slowly flying around the camp. I loved the feeling of the wind on my skin and Thundercloud's saddle under me. We flew over the dining pavilion, and the climbing wall. Then the dozens of cabins that I felt proud to have created. We flew over the armoury and the training field. Over the coliseum and the forest, and finally we glided low enough over the lake that I could reach down and touch it. Suddenly Thundercloud burst upwards, causing me to almost fall right out of the saddle. She flew so high I could see the whole camp and most of Long Island Sound. I could even see a bit of New York City in the distance.

"Okay girl, you ready to do some tricks?" I questioned, quickly followed by a neigh and a speedy loop-D-loop.

"Okay then. Let's start with a corkscrew and a superman, then a diving catch and a quick meteor strike landing finishing with a tornado lift." I quickly listed off a round of tricks and we began. I held on tight as she spun around 5 times before slowing down and gliding. I carefully stood up on the saddle and ran gently off of her left wing. I dived down before using my powers to begin gliding in superman position, with Thundercloud gliding over me. I then began diving downwards and was picking up speed. Next was the diving catch. This trick always freaked people out. I was a kilometre off the ground and campers were noticing me falling. I started flailing my arms to look like I was in danger, which caused several screams from some campers, and was about 100 metres off the ground when Thundercloud bolted underneath me and I used my powers to soften the blow. We then hit the ground in a dramatic show kind of way with me standing on her Thundercloud's back and everyone staring in awe. We then bolted straight upward, spinning as we went, with me clinging onto Thundercloud's saddle. Then she slowed and went back to gliding.
