Chapter 4

When I woke up the next morning I had a huge headache. Probably from all the stupid questions. Damn, my head hurts. I might as well fight through it. I got out of my nice comfy bed to get ready for school.

When I walked downstairs my dad said, " The monster is alive!" I glared at him, he only chuckled. I got my bag and headed out to the bus stop. Yes, I still take the bus. I'm only 15! I got on and rode to school

When I got to school I saw people whispering and pointing at me. What the heck? When I reached my friends they were all huddled together. Okay, now that is different. " Hey guys, what's up?" I asked unsure.

"You know there is a rumor about how you got Collin to cheat on his girlfriend." Mikayla replied.

"Who started it?" I questioned.

They all answered. " Nicole."

I hated that girl. She is the gossip of the school. She starts a rumor whenever and whatever. She is also Collin's girlfriend. I was weak against her. So I decided not to do anything at all. This will be an interesting day, I just know it. When I walked into Mr. Tweets room, I was pulled right back out. It was Collin, great what did he want.

"What's up with the rumors?" He spat at me.

"I don't know ask your girlfriend!" I yelled back.

"She has nothing to do with this." He defended her.

"Okay, fine. But listen. You are as blind as a bat to notice she is number one of the school. Think about it." I finished what I meant and walked into class. That boy was as clueless as a newborn puppy.

After school I had track. I know what your thinking, tracks in spring. Well, my school also practices in fall, to be prepared. Also track practice is the same day as football practice. So I have to see the devil and his soul takers.

I walked onto the track. I love track, I'm a sprinter. So I run fast and don't stop tell I cross the finish line. I headed over to my friend J.T.

He is 6' tall and has short brown hair with gold eyes. Also is in eleventh grade. He's like me, a sprinter. We're both in senior varsity and that means we're good, scary good. J.T and I are the fastest on the team, so we like to practice and race each other. I joined track in seventh grade same time as J.T did only in eighth grade. We became friends instantly. Weird huh.

"Oh look here comes the football team." J.T cooed. Maybe I should explain something. Us runners hate those football players. Plus, we also have to train them how to run, not fun.

"Great, just what we needed." Said Micheal. He is the track team captain, so we listen to him. J.T and I looked at each other then the field.

That's when the new boy appeared. I still don't know his name. I leaned over to J.T. "Who's that?" I asked pointing at the new boy.

"That's Drew Race he moved here from New York. And he is really, actually, awesomely good at football." He finished filling me in. So Drew Race, that is one interesting name.

After track was finished J.T drove me home. He kept giving me worried glances. I was really getting annoyed.

"What?!" I spat.

"You just look like you were about to burst of confusion." He answered scared. He was right I was confused.

Confused, because Drew Race sounded so familiar. Because I can't solve a stinking thing about him. I grunted. Great, just what I needed more confusion.

When J.T dropped me off, I slowly walked to the door in confusion. When I walked inside I saw Gabe waiting on the steps for me. I walked over to him. He handed me a note, which said:

" Dear kids,

Dad and I are on a business trip for one week.

So you know what to do. Remember only two

friends over each at the house. Be safe. Be

wise.

Love,

Mom and Dad"

I smirked. Because we follow the rules, but Gabe and I usually trash the house. We are really messy. One time when my mom and dad were gone for two weeks, my brother and I trashed the house. When we managed to clean all it up. Plus there was only one broken vase. So we were kinda getting better when they are gone.

I looked back at my brother he had an unsure face. "What's up?" I asked.

"Can I have Nate over for a sleepover?" I looked at the inside of the house then back at him. He had on his puppy face.

"Fine." I gave into his face.

Gabe just broke into a grin. "What time can he come over?"

I thought about that then said. "He can come over at 7 o'clock. No earlier." I warned him. He just nodded and went upstairs to call Nate.

I finished my homework at 6:30. I was surprised it took me that long. I walked into the kitchen to get a drink. When I noticed something. My mom's scrapbook on the counter top. She hasn't brought that out for ages. I walked over to it. To find it bookmarked. I set my drink down, and opened to the bookmarked page.

When I got there to see what's on it, my jaw dropped. It can't be!
