This guide will cover the Hunter Rank Requirements in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate including:
How to Raise Hunter Rank - What you need to do to increase it.
Require Quests - Which quests you need to do for each rank and the info on them.
Urgent Quests - The last quests needed for each rank to move up to the next.
Low-Rank Quests - These are from Hunter Rank 1-3
High-Rank Quests - These are from Hunter Rank 4-7
G-Rank Quests - These are from Hunter Rank 8+
How to Raise Hunter Rank
You must complete specific HR quests at the guild hall to unlock an Urgent Quests.
When you complete the Urgent Quest, you move up to the rank I have listed next to it.
The game doesn't tell you which quests are needed and there are several extra quests you don't need to do. I'll list only the required and urgent quests for each rank.

Bug Burger
Main goal - Hunt 1 Seltas.
Subquest - Destroy the Seltas's Horn.

Main goal - Hunt 1 Kecha Wacha.
