I got home 15 minutes before my parents and managed to make it look like I was working and not out. I had to put my car keys back in the living room because my dad hadn't given them back.

And to continue the family tradition, my parents made sure that I knew that I was a disappointment. And my dad made sure I knew that he didn't like my haircut or new hair color. I stayed up all night not only because of the pain I was in, but also because I was super nervous about lunch with Becky.

After my 3 hour text conversation with Jesse that night, I was tired mentally as well as physically. I had to explain everything that's been happening with me during the last few weeks, and that I was going to talk to them today. Of course, being as over-protective as she is, she spent an hour telling me what not to say or do and warning me that if I got my self into any more trouble she'd kill me.

I left my room to make coffee at around 9, unable to keep my eyes opened. I poured myself a cup and went into my room to read until I had to get ready for lunch. My mother walked in at 10 and said to shower and clean myself up and cover my hair because Becky would be there at noon. My mother still tried to act like we were this perfect family on occasions (very, very rare ones)when we were all together and with other people.

I got up and showered around 11 and put on a blue dress shirt and black dress pants and my black slip-on Vans and a black beanie, then continued to read. At around 11:45 my mother started yelling at us to come to the living room. We all had to sit together and we all ended up awkwardly staring at the floor or wall.

Thankfully, at exactly 12 Becky came, and after the awkward hello's we went out to the back yard, where the patio furniture was, despite us packing it up already. She had also unpacked the 'good china and silverware' that we were never allowed to use.

We sat down and after what seemed like hours of awkward small talk, mostly between my mother and Becky, we headed back to the living room.

This was it. Becky gave me a look and I excused myself and went to my room. I picked up the papers and headed back.

I haven't said a word to them since they got here and I really didn't feel like talking to them so I dropped the papers on my father's lap when I got to the living room. Becky gave me a nasty look and I shrugged.

"What the hell is this?" he asked, picking them up.

I walked over to where Becky was sitting and sat next to her, waiting for him to finish skimming through the papers.

"I want you to sign away your rights as my parent." I said more confidently than I felt. That got me a shocked look from my mother and an angry one from my father.

"And why would we do that?" he asked.

"I don't want to move with you. I want to stay here."

"And you actually signed this?" he looked at Becky, shocked and angry.

"She's better off staying here." I wasn't expecting her to say anything so that shocked me.

"Oh, you think so?" he shouted, making Becky flinch.

My mother decided to open her mouth.

"How dare you even think of abandoning your family like that?"

I scoffed. My dad got up to come 'show me my place' but my mom held him back, looking nervously at Becky.

"What the hell does that mean?" he asked, fuming.

"It's really hypocritical of you. Talking to me about abandoning my family when we see you two weeks a year, half of which you spend yelling and ordering us around and punishing us for whatever your moods feel like yelling about. You don't even know how old any of us are. The last time we had an actual meal together was when Cecilia was a toddler. You don't care what happens to us, one of us could die and you wouldn't even notice! So you're the LAST person to talk to me about family values, seeing as Becky and I have been raising one of your children for nearly a decade, mother."

By the time I finished my rant, my dad didn't really care who was here. He was marching towards me, angrier than I've ever seen him.

He raised his fist to punch me but Becky's words stopped his fist in mid-air.

"If you touch her I'm calling the police." He glared at her but stepped back a little.

I looked at her confused. She should have let him. We talked about this the other day. He's slightly more rational after he gets all his anger out. I warned her to shut up and just walk away if he got angry. Now he's going to kill us both. She just shrugged and continued.

"And don't even think about even looking at her once I leave. You may not care about your children but I do, and I've got enough evidence to make you disappear for the rest of your life. I have many, many pictures of the bruises you've left on her, and lots of proof that you left them."

"You stupid bitch! You obviously weren't raised properly!" He stormed out of the room and I heard his bedroom door slam shut. My mother ran after him. My sisters were both sitting there with their mouths hanging open.

I picked up the papers and shoved them into Becky's hands, way too mad at her to say anything, and went into my room, locking the door.

I stayed in my room for the rest of the day. By the time I fell asleep the sun was rising. A big bang woke me up a few hours later. Someone was violently knocking on my door. I didn't want to deal with anyone so I yelled at them to go away.

"Open the fucking door right fucking now!!!!" Jesse. Shit.
