Spin the bottle

The bottle in the middle starts to spin with four eyes staring expectantly at it. All hoping that it would fall on someone else because honestly, no one wants to be the victim.

The speed of the bottle gradually decreases making my heart beat faster. Whose idea was it to play this childish game anyways. I would have balantly declined if it was some other day but today was special. I promised myself that just for today I won't say no or lie. I promised myself that I would actually keep my promise today.

Ugh. Stupid promises.

Please not me. Please not me. Please not me. Please not me. Ple........ah crap.

I start cursing when the bottle finally stops spinning, it's tip pointing in my direction. The three pairs of eyes light up at once and I curse again.

"Finally!" Gena says while slightly jumping with excitement. " I was starting to think that the bottle held some grudge on me 'cuz it was only pointing at me" she says and all four of us chuckle at her childish remark.

"So Crehpa!" Bash says while clapping his hands. A huge grin on his face.

"Y-ye-yeah?" I stutter scrunching my face, dreading what's about to happen.

"Truth or Dare?" he says with and even wider grin.

His question pushes my mind into over contemplating things like usual.

If I chose dare them they are probably gonna make me jump in the freezing lake and I want to reach home.Alive. Then if I say dare then they are going to bug me with some embarrassing question to which I will probably give an even more embarrassing answer.

"Hey we don't have the whole night okay,just take your decision already." Chase says in a slightly irritated tone, making me snap out from my thoughts.

"Geez, calm down. I'm making a really tough decision here." I say as I put my hands in my chin and pretend to think. Then I move the hand to my cheeks with my index finger slightly tapping my temples while I hum to myself.

I hear three groans and giggle.

"Okay okay" I say sawing my hands in the air, "I've made my decision."

I inhale my breath and close my eyes in a dramatic way ,"Truth" I say as I exhale.

The three roll their eyes but I don't miss how their eyes light up again.

"Okay I'll ask." Gena says moving a little bit closer towards me. 

We are seated in a kind of circle with Gena in front of me, Chase to my right and Bash in my left.

Both boys glare at Gena but roll their eyes and give in eventually. They can't disobey Gena even if they want to.

"Alright shoot" I say while leaning behind in my palm.

"So," she starts; eyeing the other two in the process. "you said some time ago that you made a bucket list four years ago and you are here to complete the things you listed there right?" She asks and I nod my head. A slow shiver running down my spine.

She smiles sheepishly making me dread her next sentence even more. 

"Then you wouldn't mind if we ask some questions about it would you?" She says with the most innocent look she can muster. I visibly cringe at her question as what i was dreading comes into reality. 

Gena's eyes widen as she takes in my expression, "I mean if you don't want to then we are not going to pressurize you. Sorry we were just curious." 

Her eyes show the truth behind her words and i can't help but sigh a little as I give in. "Fine, shoot." I whisper wishing they didn't hear and am utterly disappointed as I hear three cheers.

"What is the first thing on your bucket list?"

I freeze. 

Thousands of thoughts revolve around my head as her words finally dawn on me. I look up to their expectant faces and it makes my heart break a little. The simple question should't have such a huge impact on me but truthfully it just has me breaking apart inside.

Come on Crepha, its not a big deal. You promised yourself you wouldn't lie. They are your friends, it wouldn't hurt for them to know.

"I...um....uh.......um....." I close my eyes, take a deep breath and smile, "It's pretty stupid actually, do you really wanna know?" I say wishing that they would shake their heads but all three nod their heads together. Curiousness filled their eyes.

I take a deep breath again.

It's gonna be alright. I just have to tell them the first thing. I don't have to tell them everything right now, even if they are my best friends. Just tell them their answer and change the topic.

Even though I'm panicking inside I keep a tight smile in my face so that they don't suspect anything.

"Umm...." I say while pushing some hair behind my ear and smiling to the ground. " The first thing on the list was to fall in love with someone so hard and then have a heartbreak so bad that it hurts to breath."

The room goes silent as if it wasn't silent already. My eyes are fixated to the ground but I can feel three pair of eyes drilling holes to the side of my head. The room suddenly feels hot as I feel my ears getting heated.

Finally Bash breaks the silence with a laugh, "Wow! That's a really crazy wish." 

I look up to him and he has a really surprised look on his face. I can see his eyes filled with curiosity but he doesn't bother to voice it out. 

"Who in their right mind decides to have a heartbreak so bad that it hurts to breath?" Gena asks in a surprised tone.

I shrug, "Well apparently me."

"It would be weird to see you with a broken heart,"Bash says and I raise my eyebrows. " I mean you are always smiling. I've literally never seen you without a smile or with a frown. It just feels weird thinking about it."

I smile at his remark," You won't have to worry about that." I say and this time he raises his eyebrows.

"It's already crossed from my bucket list. Means it is already been done."

And with that the room plunges into another silence.
