Chapter Twenty-Six

A/N^^^^ so I've come to the decision that I can no longer write this story. It doesn't feel right to carry on- I no longer enjoy writing this story and so I'm so sorry guys, i know a lot of people enjoyed this book but this will be the last chapter.

And also take every bold letter in this sentence and calm your ass down.

The next morning I woke up with what felt like the weight of the world lifted from my shoulders. I felt like I had a new lease of life ever since being able to tell someone how I felt. I didn't even complain when my alarmed beeped for me to wake up and I rolled out of bed ready for the day. Drew and Mason picked me up in their car to go to school and when we got their Drew put a protective arm around my shoulder and glared at Luke as he passed us in the halls. Luke had a fucker of a black eye and it was kinda funny to look at. Especially since he was supposed to be some kind of amazingly good looking guy sent from God and every girl had a major crush on him.
The only issue was when it came to English class. He looked me up and down cockily as I walked in and sat down beside him.
"Hey babe." I could feel like smirk on his dumb face and if I turned round right now he would probably be biting his lip and raising an eyebrow as he stared at my chest conspicuously. I didn't dare look round at him. "So, how's Drew doing? Threw one hell of a punch last night; he knocked me into the water and everything the dick he is."
"Luke shut the fuck up. You're literally the most annoying fucking person I've ever met in my life." I said deadpan as I positioned myself comfortably in the seat ready for the lesson.
Luke laughed. A completely arrogant jerk-type laugh that made me want to throw a textbook at him. "Did you hear that Ash?" Luke called over to his little buddy across the room. "I'm the most annoying person she's ever met!" On the last few words he imitated what was meant to be my voice. Thank god Mason walked in and hopefully would give me some sanity. He smiled at me as he sat down in his seat and then glared at Luke.
"Woah, tough crowd." Luke laughed.

Luke's POV
She was wearing those jeans again. You know, the ones that make her legs go in forever and make her ass look great. Luke, no. Stop it. Stop letting your dick talk.
"Luke shut the fuck up. You're literally the most annoying fucking person I've ever met." She spat at me. Her voice flat but full of spite. Luke don't be a douche.
"Dos you hear that Ash?" I called across the room. "I'm the most annoying person she's ever met!" Too late; I'd done it again. I don't know what it is, I can't help it. It's like I go into complete egotistical jerk mode when I'm around her when all I really want to do is tell her that her hair looks pretty.
"Your hair looks nice Mila." I told her.
"Fuck off Luke." Why would she think I was saying that out of kindness? Why would she think I was just complimenting her? Mr Rogers started the class and told us to continue editing the final draft of this group piece we had to turn in at the end of the week.  We'd pretty much finished ours so all that was left to do was sit awkwardly and twiddle my thumbs as Mila and Mason gossiped about some shitty TV show. There you go again Luke. It's not shitty to them, you're just not into that type of thing. When the bell rang it was like a sound from the heavens and I could finally leave the situation. But I had to tell Mila I didn't actually hate her. Following her as casually as I could; I waited a few steps behind her as she traveled through the halls to the girls bathroom; the one where I shoved her in a sink and basically ate her face. The hallway was empty in this part of the school so I was free to shout on her.
"Mila!" I called and she quickly flicked her head round. She glared when she realized it was me. "Mila, can I talk to you for a minute?" She looked annoyed but she stopped in her tracks and turned on her heels to face me. Maybe it was the genuine sincerity in my voice that made her stop.
"I- I just wanted to tell you something." Shoving my hands in my pockets, I shuffled nervously from side to side. There was an awkward silence.
"Spit it out then." She was so beautiful but she has a wicked tongue. Because I was one to judge.
"Oh okay. I know you have absolutely to reason to believe me when I say this but- oh god- I well, I really like you Mila." She raised her eyebrows and a shocked laugh played on her lips. "Just hear me out. I really do like you Mila. I like the way you smile and the little giggle you have when you laugh, and the way you wear your hair and the way you walk and I like your take-no-shit attitude, even though it was me that made you have to adopt that kind of attitude because I'm such a douche-bag but I'm not lying when I say any of this, and I'm not lying when I say I love you." She looked stunned to say the least. "Please believe me."
She snorted with laughter. "Luke you're so full of shit."
"Mila, I'm not lying." Someone started to clap loudly and I staggered in fright and turned around to find Drew. We had matching black eyes.
"That's nice Luke. Now get the fuck away from girlfriend before I give you a pair of black eyes and a burst nose to match." I would say I was pretty lean and muscly but Drew was a tank. Drew wasn't a tank, he was a fucking submarine and there was no doubt in my mind that he probably would do as he told me. "Come on Mila." She brushed past me and over to Drew where they walked away quickly together as I stared behind. I'd told her how I felt and she rejected me. Guess that's how she felt when I used her like some kind of object and took her for granted. I could safely say she broke my heart but I broke her soul. I wonder what's worth more?

If you didn't get that little prank at the start the bold words spelt sike. This book any going anywhere just yet. It was meant to be an April fools but my dumb ass was too lazy to write that day and instead spent like five hours playing sims 4.
