I slid out of bed, wishing I could sleep for 10 more minutes. Too bad I couldn't. It was the first day of highschool.

I looked through my drawers, trying to find something decent to wear. I ended up with a pair of denim capris and a white T-shirt. I walked into the bathroom, which is luckily right next to my bedroom. I pull out my straightening iron, and plug it into the outlet in the wall. I sit there on my phone waiting for it to heat up. During the time periodof it heating up, I checked my Facebook, texted my friend, and took a short nap on the floor.

I pulled my hair down from the messy bun I had slept in last night, my long blonde hair was so knotted I could barely brush it out. I pulled about 3/4 of my hair into a akward bun, and straightened it layer by layer. After a long 8 minutes of doing my hair, I top it off with a white and bandana with little black polkadots on it.

I walked back into my room, slipping onm the first pair of shoes i could find. they happend to be my carmel colored UGGS that I had gotten that Christmas.

In the corner of my room, next to my dresser, there is a body sized mirror. I looked into it, noticing that there was something missing, I ran over to my closet and pulled out a blue, almost demin, scarf. I put it over my shirt, and ran down the stairs.

I see the same thing I see every morning. My mom and my 12 year old sister Lexi. Oddly, we look a lot a like. Blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a circle type head. Our names are even simualr, Lexi and Leah.

Most siblings hate each other, ecspecially sisters. But oddly, me and Lexi are almost like bestfriends. Even though I am almost 3 years older than her, I still treat her like she is 15. I take her to eat, shopping, and we get Starbucks all the time. I can't drive yet, but we only live about 5 minutes away from the mall. we usually just walk there. She isn't annoying like most kids.

Sitting on the table is a plate of nothing. What happend to this thing called food? I thought to myself.

"The bacon is in the microwave, and the waffles are on the counter. Help yourself." My mom has a really high pitched voice, no wonder my dad works full time.

I walk over to the microwave and press my nose onto the glass door. I can smell the bacon.

I open the microwave and pulled out the plate in which is covered with long stripes on bacon. I get out a plate, ignoring the waffles because all I really wanted was bacon. I ate every single piece that was only my plate.

I got up from the table and went to brush my teeth.

By the time i got all of my school papers and supplies together, we were already 5 minutes late to school. Luckily for us, we only live like 2 minutes away.

Since I will get my driver's liscense in April, my mom let's me drive to school. Lexi holds on tight, she always tortoures me about my driving.

As I slowly pull into the parking lot of Lexi's middle school, she hops out of the backseat and blows us air kisses.

The majority of 7th graders wouldn't do that, but she doesn't care. That's what I love about her. She isn't afraid to be different.

About 5 minutes later we arrived at my new highschool. I stop the car, get out, and start walking to the front door. I watch my mom as she transfers over to the driver's seat and leaves me at this place. The place I have never been in, a completely new place that I will have to spend the next 4 yeras of my life in. High school.
