The God of Mischief and lies brushed his lover's hair to the side. He looked at her cold, dead body. It would be the last time he ever saw her. She had died while bearing his child. The little girl was curled up fast asleep in his left arm. The only thing on her tiny body was a pink blanket. His daughter had inherited her mother's soft gray eyes and blond hair. But he knew that his daughter possessed his fiery spirit.
Loki trailed his hand down his deceased lovers face all the way down to her arm. He grabbed her cold hand and kissed it for the last time before going to the small desk in the corner and pulling out paper and a pencil. It took a while for him to figure out how to explain what had happened in just a few hours on a piece of paper.
But when he finally did, he sealed the letter in an envelope and looked at his daughter. She was still seeping soundly. The girl had his pink, full lips and his nose. This was the only physical resemblance his daughter had to him. An idea formed in his mind about where he could take her to be safe from his world. His only hope was that the girl would forgive in time.
Quickly he picked his daughter up and teleported to a door. He set the girl down and placed the note down on top of her. Loki kissed his daughter forehead and walked away without a second glance.
