"I know you are going to miss me but I simply cannot stay here anymore" said Megan, a middle aged woman wanting a new start. She had lost her husband in a terrible car accident and became depressed. "I want to live somewhere where I can look outside my window and see nothing but amazing scenery and feel the warm breeze on my skin". About two months later, Megan had found a new house in the middle of nowhere and bought it at a reasonable price. She packed up, and bought a first class plane ticket to leave her old life behind. As she arrived, she could not help but smile at her future right in front of her. She could not wait to unpack and get settled it.

She went outside and started to read a book she so dearly loved. She loved sitting outside, getting fresh air and feeling the warm soft breeze against her cheek. She sat in the grass and began to read. When she looked up to take a break she looked out into the horizon to see the sea waves crashing on the shore. Megan could see the dark clouds forming and thought nothing of it. The warm breeze began to turn chill so she closed her book and went inside to begin cooking dinner.

As night came, the conditions outside started to worsen. The wind had picked up to an alarming speed and the temperature had dropped. As she got ready for bed, she could hear the house creaking and became uneasy. She had never encountered bad weather like this before, rain was unheard of where she was from. As she peered outside she could see the clouds overhead. They were a dark slate color and the wind was punishing anything in its way. The trees swayed back and fourth and debris flew angrily. She went to bed hoping it would blow over by morning.

Megan woke up at about 3:12 am to a loud banging noise outside. As she peered outside she noticed chunks falling from the sky. "What could it be?", she asked herself. She had never seen it before but it was coming down like it weighed hundreds of pounds. She became uneasy and tried to fall back asleep but could not. She flung her blankets aside and got out of bed. Megan walked downstairs and grabbed a wine glass out of the cabinet. She opened the fridge and got out a bottle of red wine. As she was pouring a large glass of the wine, something hit her window and she dropped the bottle. Cursing, she bent down and picked up the bottle and as she stood back up she witnessed something looking in her window. She screamed and dropped the bottle again. She dropped to the floor and hid behind the cabinet. She knew she needed to get up and look outside but she was very scared. She slowly crawled to the window and carefully stood up with caution. As her eyes met with the window, she made eye contact with something she had no explanation for.
