New Neighbors

Chapter 1:Moving In

1 week before school starts:
(Jacob's POV)
I walked down the stairs and saw my dad had made breakfast. My brother was already digging into his pancakes and bacon. I sat down, poured a glass of orange juice and started to eat. I looked outside, I saw that the sign from the house across the street was gone, it must have meant someone bought it. I asked my dad "So, are we getting new neighbors?" My dad replied with a "I guess, we'll have to see." It really sucked, my best friend Matt lived across the street. He moved away just this past summer because his mom got a job offer in Texas, which is like a thousand something miles away from North Carolina.

(Lanie's POV)
We were on our way from Maryland to North Carolina, I was excited but nervous. I was going to miss each and every one of my friends back home. We started getting close to the new house when I noticed there were a lot of kids playing outside. We finally arrived to the house. We started to carry in boxes and unpack, this was sure going to be an experience.

(Jacob's POV)
I finished up my breakfast and looked outside, it was a moving van. I knew we definitely had new neighbors. I quickly washed my dishes and headed back upstairs to get dressed. While I was getting dressed, I noticed a cute brown headed girl. I thought to myself, damn.. I would be lucky to have her. I quickly got dressed and texted the guys Justin and Isaac to come over to play some basketball. I told Isaac to bring his sister Ashley because we were all the same age, and I hope this new girl was too.

(Lanie's POV)
I continued to unload boxes from the van, when I walked out of the house noticing a very hot guy. The type of guy me and my friends would call "the one". I swear he looked like Zac Efron with hints of Cameron Dallas. Oh my gosh, I just couldn't stop staring. I quickly caught myself before anyone saw me awkwardly staring. I continued walking to the van. I grabbed a box, as soon as I grabbed the box, thousands of my bedroom supplies fell out. I guess while I was packing I didn't tape it enough. The extremely hot guy ran over and helped me pick up the stuff. We started a conversation.
Jacob: "Hey, I'm Jacob."
Lanie: "Hi, I'm Lanie"
I swear we couldn't stop looking into each other's eyes. "So, after you're done unpacking and everything, do you want to come and maybe hangout?" Jacob asked while rubbing the back of his neck. "Sure!" I said. "I'd love to."
1hr later:
I walked over to Jacob's house and rang the door bell. Jacob's dad answered. "They are right upstairs, go ahead and go on up if you want." He said. I walked up the stairs, I admired baby pictures on the walls. He was soooo cute as a kid, like oh my gosh. I knocked on the door, "Hey, it's Lanie" Jacob opened the door, I saw him and a couple of other people. It was two guys and a girl. The girl spoke first, "Hey, I'm Ashley, this is my brother Isaac and that's Justin." I said "Hey!" while waving my hand. We hung out for about 30 minutes when Justin finally spoke out "Hey, Jacob.. You should go live dude." Jacob replied with a quick "I guess." I had no clue what this thing was that meant 'go live' like what even is that? I asked "what is that?" Jacob said, "well.. I'm what you could call famous on younow. It's basically an online broadcasting app where you can talk to people." "So, you have fans?" I asked. Isaac said, "yup pretty much."
We went live, I had no clue what to do.. All I saw was people saying;
-Who is that girl?
-Who is the new person?
-Who's that girl with the brown hair?
-Is that your girlfriend?
I was getting so happy because, what if me and Jacob were a thing?
