I rolled over to the empty side. My eyes are still as heavy as a rock but my mind is eager to wake up.
"Wakey Wakey..." a lovely raspy voice cooed in my ears. I growl, my eyes could barely open.
"I am going to throw you off the bed and roll you downstairs, missy, don’t growl on me." he said as I can feel his rough fingers brushing off the messy hairs off my face."Noooooo...."
"But Aunt Rosy asked me to wake you up. They're going to get groceries for later."
"I don’t want to go."
"Okay, Bev." he said, pecking a wet kiss on my hand before letting me enjoy the day off in the guest bedroom. I woke up still tired but ready to start the day off, especially because Dean is staying with me in the guesthouse. I put on a floral dress and sandal then head downstairs. "Good morning." I sang in happiness when I saw Dean pouring a cup of orange juice on the counter. "Good morning." he turned around but his face distorts as if something is going on. "Hey, what’s wrong?" I asked worriedly, gripping his muscular arm. "Mom called." He looked down, tears forming in my eyes.
"Your mom? I thought your mom passed away when you were little.""Dad lied. She told me that when they had a huge fight, they separated and left with each of us. I have a sister."
"Oh my gosh, Dean, I can’t believe this."
"Yeah, me too."
"Let’s just keep it to ourselves."
"Okay, if you wish."
Dean can be childish at times but sometimes he is very mature. He handled the situation better than I can handle my own feelings and that is the reason why I love him. Since he asked me to go to prom with him and I agreed, I returned home three days later, wishing I can shed some light into my life again.
Since Dean told me to not over think it and because now Aunt Meredith has moved back in to Uncle Joe's house, I decide to find the perfect prom dress for our 'perfect' occasion.
Often times we are given a chance to appreciate what we have, I did, I guess, although I didn’t show it or i thought i'd never lose it.
