"So you and Bryan are going undercover now?" May asked as I helped her out of the suit. It was the end of the day and I was meeting Bryan outside in a "disguise" to see the Tree of Light.
"Yeah, he said it's really beautiful and spiritual to look at." I said.
"It is. I went there myself last week. It's beautiful when it's getting darker." May told me.
"Well, it is September now, so it should get darker around 7-8pm." I said. I had totally forgot, that it wasn't summer anymore. Even though we were in sunny Florida, it could just as easily turn around and get chilly. I wonder what I will wear in the winter since my dress isn't exactly very warm and designed for winter.
"True," May said and stepped out of the suit. She put it back in her box and closed it.
"Well, I better get going. Will we see you again soon? it was nice hanging out and working with you." I said and gave May a hug.
"Sure you will. We'll see each other tomorrow. And probably back at the Magic Kingdom Park. Although, I might be in another suit. But here's my number," May said and put her number in my phone. "text me, call me, FaceTime me any time... after work though. We could hang out soon." she then added. I nodded and smiled.
I gave May another hug and then went outside in my casual clothes. I saw Bryan sitting on a bench with his phone. I tapped on his shoulder and he smiled when he saw me. He stood up, put his phone in his pocket and kissed me on my cheek.
"You were good today." he said and looked for something in his pocket.
"Thanks. What'chu looking for?" I asked. I couldn't quite shake the british accent off yet.
"Eh, your disguise. It's just a little security thing that Angela makes us do. We have to wear fake glasses, so people don't recognize us. And if someone talks to us or tries to get contact to us, use a fake name, okay?" Bryan said and gave me the Ray-ban shaped glasses.
"Yeah. So, what's your secret identity?" I asked tease fully. Bryan chuckled.
"My undercover name is William." he said. Not bad. He kinda did look like a William.
"Well, my undercover name will then be Sara." I said. Bryan nodded in agreement and took my hand.
"Come on, we need to see the Tree of Light." he said.
------------------------------------
There was a huge crowd standing before the even more huge tree. Children sat on their parents shoulders to get a better look. Animal sounds could be heard all around us. They became louder and louder and suddenly small fireflies came flying from the tree.
Bryan and I tried to move closer to the tree and get a better look at the show. Not that it helped. But we did come a little closer.
The tree then started to light up in every possible colour. It was beautiful. I'd need seen anything like it. The crowd let out multiple "ooh"'s and "aah"'s. And even though the light show only lasted 3 minutes. It was an outstanding experience, and no one seemed to notice Bryan or me.
When the show was over. Bryan and I were ready to head home. We could do that spaghetti dinner that we missed last time. We left the crowd and was now on our way to the exit.
I then felt a tap on my shoulder. I stopped, turned around and saw a familiar guy with glasses holding hands with a redhead. Super pretty girl.
"Allan?" I couldn't believe he had found me, and even in a disguise.
"Yeah, hey Liz!" he said and hugged me. I was really happy to see him. He felt happier. I guess it was the redheads, which obviously was Isabella, fault. She seemed like a good influence on him.
"Good to see you!" I said as we pulled away after the hug.
"You too!" Bryan said. He then saw Bryan and cleared his throat. He obviously hadn't forgotten about him. I tried to say something, to make things less awkward.
"So, this must be Isabella," I said and took her hand. "I've heard so much about you!" Isabella nodded and smiled.
"Only good things I hope." she said cheerful and looked at Allan. I laughed. I always knew that Allan would pick the funny girls.
"Of course!" I said back and laughed again. I cleared my throat. "Allan, you remember Bryan, right?" I asked and tried to make the situation a little less awkward for Bryan. Allan adjusted his glasses.
"How could I forget?" he said and smiled nervous while reaching out for Bryan's hand who got pulled into a big hug.
"Good to finally meet you, bro." Bryan said and squeezed Allan. I chuckled.
"So, how long are you planning on staying here?" I asked Allan. He thought for a second.
"Hm, I don't know. I really like it here. The elephants are amazing." he admitted.
"Well, why don't you get a job here?" I asked. Allan looked confused at me. "I'm sure there's a cheap apartment nearby. And we can get our luggage from home together." I said. I really hoped he would stay. Allan was one of my closest guy friends and it would be lovely to have a bit of home nearby. Plus, I've never seen Allan this happy with a girl like Isabella.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Isabella said cheerful.
"Heh, yeah, I mean, the job would be amazing. And I'd love to spend more time here. But I'm not sure that I'll get the job." he admitted. I laid a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, if I can get a job at Walt Disney World, then I'm sure you can get a job as a zookeeper." I said trying to cheer him up. Isabella took Allan's hand.
"Yeah, I mean, you might have to start at the bottom. But all the time scraping elephant poop really pays off in the end." she said and kissed him on his cheek. Allan started to blush.
"Well, okay, I can try." he then said and giggled like a five year old. Typical Allan. I chuckled. I then felt Bryan's hand in mine.
"We better get home or we'll miss our spaghetti dinner... again." he said. I smiled. He was right.
"Oh, right, of course." I said and giggled to myself. I hugged Allan and Isabella goodbye and promised that this wouldn't be the last time we saw each other.
