The ladders symbol is very simple, yet important.
To do the ladders symbol with your hands, you simply put four fingers up with your left hand, and cross them horizantally with the pointer finger of your right hand.
On paper, the ladders symbol is four verticle lines, crossed horizantally with one line. This symbol is not to be consfused with tally marks, for the horizantal line is straight, not slanted.
