Mia's Pov:

I'm sitting on my bed. I flop backwards with my arms fanned out across my bed. I did this out of boredom. I then felt a buzz coming from the pocket of my jeans, it tickled slightly. I sit back up and reached for my phone. I noticed I had a message from Cassy.  

Cassy: "Hey are you coming to Kat's 16th tonight?"

Mia: "Dude I'm not so sure.."

Cassy: "Come on Mia it be soo much fun with you there, plus guess who's going to be there?" 

Mia: "Who?"

Cassy: "Brandon :) "

Mia: "Ok what time does the party start?"

Cassy: "I knew you would come once you knew Brandon was going hehe. Anyways the party starts at 7 but I will pick you up at 6:30 kay? See ya then xx."

"Omg I have to get ready." I said in excitement. I'm not that much of a party person but when I heard my crush Brandon was going I had to go. I quickly looked at the time and noticed I only had 3 hours to get ready, and for me that is not much time. I rush to my bath room and turned on the shower. I then began to undress myself and hopped in. I started off by washing my long mousey brown hair and then I rinsed, I then decided to shave under my arms and my legs. I then washed my body and hopped out of the shower. This took me 30 minuets alone, so I had to hurry. I grabbed my fluffy white towel and wrapped it around me. I then walked over to my sink and brushed my teeth. Once I was done I walked over to my wardrobe and try to find an outfit to wear, I couldn't find any casual dresses so I went to my chest of draws. I grabbed out this loose belly crop top like thing. It was black but in the middle it had this picture of a tiger on it in grey and white. I then grabbed my ripped denim jeans that were dark blue at the top where the rips were they were light blue almost white and the bottom they were a nice medium blue. I then put on my favourite pair of healed combat boots, they were black. The final thing I had to do was my hair and makeup. I tied my hair back temporarily and then I started off by applying some primer, I spread it evenly all over my face and then did the same thing with my favourite foundation which was the fit me stick foundation. I then put so translucent powered on and blended it in to set my foundation. I then did a silver smokey eye with a black winged eye liner and I used my Sephora mascara to my lashes, it was a matte black colour. I then put a bright red lip stick on and I applied it where my cupids bow was more noticeable. I then dried my hair and gave it some loose curls. The last thing I did was put on my favourite black beanie on and my yingyang chocker. Just as I was done Cassy sent me a text.

Cassy: "I'm out the front, are you ready?"

Mia: "I just finished getting ready."

Cassy: "ok so then get your ass out the door and into my car."

Mia: "ok I'm coming."

I then placed my phone back into my pocket and rushed down stairs to Cassy's car.

I open the car door to an angry looking Cassy. I just gave her the puppy dog eyes. "Why you gotta be so cute Mia?" She said rolling her eyes and giggled slightly. I laughed at her comment. "I know," I gave her a little smile. "Just get in the car already, I want to be at a party on time for once," She said giving me an annoyed look. "Hehe, you love me." I gave her a hug. "Sadly." She said sarcastically. "Hey." I pouted as we then began to drove off.

It was about 15 minuets when we arrived at Kat's house. We stepped out of the car and made our way to the front door. We could hear the loud music playing from here. Cassy is my best friend but she doesn't know about my social anxiety. "Cas I'm not sure this is a good..." "Come on Mia it be fun." She said pushing me through the door. "Hey, oh my god you guys made it." Kat said as we walked trough the door. She gave us both a massive hug. "Let me show you guys to the party." She said walking us out side. We walked past Brandon who was setting up with his mates Dean, John Ben and Tom. They are in a band called the Treble Clefs. We're good friends with them all. But I have had a crush on Brandon since as long as I can remember. "Hey guys we are the.." Brandon started to announce "TREBLE CLEFS!!!!!!!!!!" the rest of the band shouted. I giggled and took a seat and watched them. I didn't realise how many people were around because I got so distracted. "Hey guys thanks for coming to Kat's 16th Birthday. I would like to invite Mia up to sing the next song." Brandon said then time froze, I froze. He reached his hand out to me. I grabbed it as I jumped up on stage. I slowly turn around and saw all the people in front of me. I began to rapidly shake. "Hey Mia, you can do this, it will be ok." He whispered to me, it suddenly relieved me. "Hey just turn around and look at me. You will be fine." He said. He gave me a warm loving smile. "Hey guys. I'm going to be singing Kats fav song. It's called 'Bring Me to Life' by Evanescence. I turned back around to the crowd and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath. "Hit it Tom!" I shouted.
