Chapter 5: A New Job?

Chapter 5:

"You know you could work with me?" I said.

"Doing What?" She asked still staring out of the car window.

"You can go do work for midnight with me. I am the boss after all. You could just do work and I can pay for anything you need." I said happily.

"I'll think about it." She said making eye contact with me.

Again nothing was said without a word on our drive back.

(Luna POV)

I could go work for him. But I might want money for myself. I guess if I did a bit extra work, I could just ask him for some.

We pulled into the parking lot of the apartment before getting out of the car. I decided I was going to do it. I was going to say yes.

"Ash, I will for you under one condition. You have to let me have some pocket money" I said in a low but sweet voice.

"Ok." he said shooting me that cute smile of his.

It was about eleven at night when we stepped into the room. I headed to my room Ash following behind me to his room. I saw Ash lunge towards me but the hallway was to small to douge. He pinned me to the wall. His face was inches from mine.

"You I can not guarantee your safety Luna. You have to stay close to me for this to work" He said quietly into my ear.

"This close?" I said in a nervous tone.

" No; sorry that I am a little too close right now" he said blushing a bit.

"No you are fine" I said still staggering my voice.

"We can start working tomorrow. You will stay with me most of the time as I said before. " He said staring into my red orbs.

"Ash am I even strong enough" I asked in a monotone voice.

"You beat James. I did that as a test of strenght. You passed I want you with me so we can make Midnight stronger." He said now looking away from me.

" I guess I am going to bed now" I said in a panicked tone.

"Uh ok" Ash said walking towards his room.

Once I Dragged myself into my room I flopped onto my fluffy bed.

Did I do the right thing? Idiot why did I say "This close" when Ash was in front of me. Now he probably thinks I like him.

*sigh*

" I better get some sleep." I said yawning.

"Can't wait for tomorrow" I said sarcastically rolling my eyes.

"What did she say?" James said quietly.

"Uh..." I said with a confused tone of voice.

"She is going to work with us. But as I said before she needs to stay close to me because we still can not trust her mentally. She still needs to recover from the past. It could make her do drastic things you know what happened to me before."

"Ok you guys stay safe I got to go. Bye Ash" James said sighing.

"Bye" I said while going to slip his phone into his pocket.

I sat on the edge of my bed thinking about what is to come next.

Things always repeat themselves but I can't even imagine what is going to suffer because of it. I am sick of this soon I am going to loose my sanity. I Don't even think I can protect Luna. My life is spiraling down to hell.

"Dammit" I yelled punching my wall.
