As me and momma moved to a new area I felt nervous. I'm not a big fan of new places, who is? I did not know anybody, especially at my new school. Being a freshmen, my highschool experience was just beginning.
After daddy left us, momma has never been the same. In some ways I thought it was my fault, that maybe I could have stopped him. I never liked to think about the whole situation but I feel I should, just not around momma.
"Darling its time for school! Wake up! Wake up!" momma said excitingly. "I made breakfast and packed your lunch also."
I struggled to get up out of my comfy bed. I got up, through my clothes on, ran down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Ooo bacon!" I said happily.
"I hope you have a good day and be very cautious and observant of your surroundings, I don't want you getting lost." She said with a worried tone.
After I finished my breakfast, I went to finish getting ready. I raced to the bus stop, I was completely out of breath. As I was walking down the aisle of the bus I seen him. There he was. He was so perfect. I froze at his seat but, "Here's an empty seat" he said while moving over and patting his hand down on the seat.
"What is your name?" he asked.
"Uhhhh Linda. Yours?" I said.
"My names Zeke" he replied.
I never felt anything like this. We talked the whole bus ride. When we got to the school he offered to show me around, where as he was a junior.
"Yes please, I do not want to get lost" I replied quickly, "I would appreciate it."
As we walked down the hallway together, everybody was staring. I was dumbfounded when this girl came running up to him, jumped into his arms, and kissed him. My heart shattered into pieces.
"I can find my way to my class now, thanks" I said sadly.
"Are you sure?" He replied.
"Yes, I'm fine I will find my way. Bye" I said and walked away.
