Caspar ran downstairs. He was about to cry himself. He hated seeing Liana sad it broke his heart. Caspar! What's wrong! Joe said. He was very confused. It's nothing Joe it's nothing. He said. Caspar your crying you barely ever cry cmon tell me what's wrong. Joe said sitting next to his best friend. I've known Liana for years it breaks my heart seeing her cry. Caspar explained. By the way what's wrong with Liana. Joe asked. Okay Joe I need to explain something to you. So three years ago Liana met this guy chase. She fell head over heals for him but I didn't like him. I couldn't do anything because I had moved. For about a year they were fine but then things started to go downhill. She was never happy and I didn't know why. She never texted anyone anymore. I thought she cut us all off. Turns out he abused her for two years. He was a drunkie. He was barely ever sober. He didn't let her text anyone and made her cut everyone off. She lost most of her friends except for me and her best friend. I couldn't believe my ears when she told me. After three years she broke up with him and she blocked his number. We didn't hear anything from him until now. I can't believe he has the nerve to even speak to her again. He threatened me and he beat her. She's like a sister to me Joe I don't want to see her hurt not again. She's never been the most popular person and it hurt me when I left she was so alone and depressed I wasn't doing good either. You really turned her life around Joe. She's been living alone for years. I just want her to be happy. By now Caspar was bawling. Joe comforted him until he stopped crying. I just don't want to see her hurt again Joe. Caspar stood up and walked to his bedroom and closed the door. He didn't come out for the rest of the night. Soon Joe was tired and decided to go to bed. He walked past Lianas room and could hear faint crying. Maybe I should see if she's okay. Liana? He knocked on the door but didn't get a response. He knocked on the door again without a response. He knocked one more time before opening the door. He opened the door to find an empty room. He saw the bathroom door cracked slightly open. Liana? He asked. He walked into the bathroom and saw Liana and a few cuts on her arms. His heart broke. Liana stop. Please don't do this. Joe said. Joe... I can't do it anymore I just can't live like this. I've always been alone and I always will! Nobody cares about me! She shouted. Liana what about Caspar! And what about me! If I didn't like you I wouldn't have taken you on a date please just drop the razor... He spoke calmly yet swiftly. Liana dropped the razor and fell to the floor. She cried with her face in her hands. Joe swooped down to the floor to comfort her. It's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay. Don't worry it's gonna be okay. Caspar heard the commotion and ran into the bathroom. Liana!! Why couldn't you tell me!! He yelled tears streaming down his face. I'm not as confident as you Caspar!!! She yelled running out of the room. She flopped down on her bed and cried. Look Liana I'm sorry I just don't like seeing you upset. Caspar said. Liana didn't speak. Please Liana. It's alright Caspar I know you didn't mean any harm. Caspar hugged Liana harder than he's ever hugged her before. Your my best friend and I love you and I never want you to hurt yourself again!!!! Caspar choked out. And I am your other best friend and I love you more than Caspar and I'm here for you too! Joe cried out. I really do love you guys. This is the most genuine friends I've ever had since Caspar moved. Does Joe have everything under control? Caspar asked. I guess so Liana said. Caspar kissed her on the head and walked out the door. You sleepy little one? Joe asked. Liana giggled. Yeahs Sugg I'm really tired. Joe and Liana slipped into bed and pulled the covers up to their faces. Caspar gave her a peck on the forehead causing them both to blush. Want to hear a story from my childhood? Liana asked. Sure Joe answered. Once when I was little I had this cool bouncy ball I got for my 7th birthday or some age like that. So then I was playing with it and I kicked it onto the roof and...and...and... Liana had fallen a sleep. Joe chuckled at her sleepiness. I really really like you Liana. Joe said frowning. He let a tear slip out before closing his eyes and dreaming his little heart out. Liana was his first thought in the morning and the last thought at night. He really did like her. "If only she liked me back" he said before falling into a deep sleep.
