Daisy Jennings p.o.v
I woke to the sound of my mother crying. I slowly got out of bed before putting my glasses on and picking up my phone.
I slowly scrolled through my notifications, over a hundred texts and calls. None of them from anyone that mattered, all of them asking if it was true that Ivy was gone and if I was okay.
Before I could reply to any of them I could hear my mother wail loudly again.
I wasn't okay, but I wasn't taking it as badly as our mother. And, our dad, well he doesn't seem to be reacting at all.
I slowly walked downstairs. "Oh my beautiful baby girl, thank god, you're here." My mom said hugging me tightly.
"Mom, you need to calm down," I said pulling away from her and rubbing my eyes.
"How can you ask me to calm down when Ivy is gone?" My mother pouted
"She isn't gone, Mom," I said slowly. "She just isn't here." I finished.
"Something happened to her. Someone did something to her." My mother said surely. "And, the police are sitting on their asses doing nothing! They aren't even looking for her!"
She was right. I knew she was right. Ivy may have been wild at times, but had she left the house on her own she wouldn't have left her car, her purse, or the shower running.
Ivy would never just disappear like this. Something happened.
Before too many thoughts of Ivy hurt and alone somewhere could invade my mind I quickly pushed them away.
If something did happen to Ivy, then someone in this family needs to stay strong.
So instead of telling my Mom I agreed with her, I smiled softly. "The police are doing something, they are keeping an eye out for her. Right now, we just need to wait. When 24 hours pass we can officially report her as... Not here and then the police can start looking for her." I explained.
She looked at me blankly for a moment before frowning: "You're right."
"How about I-" my mom started to say but stopped as a loud crash from upstairs stopped her.
We quickly went upstairs to where the crash came from: Ivy's room.
As we stood outside of Ivy's bedroom door our mom suddenly stopped. She turned to me. "Stay here." She whispered.
I nodded my head in understanding before my mom turned back to the door and opened it going into the room and closing the door behind her.
I held my breath as I waited for her to come out or at least say I could come in.
After about five minutes she still didn't come out. My anxiety spiked as from outside I couldn't hear a sound from inside the room.
I stared at the door and the poster that hung on it that said in girly cursive letters 'Ivy's room'.
I took a shaky breath before softly knocking on the door. "Mom?" I called. She didn't reply.
I need to go in there.
I bit my lip before slowly reaching out and opening the room door.

"Please calm down Ms.Jennings," I said as I tried and failed to get the crying woman to calm down.
"Can you please tell me the order of events once more?" I asked. The mother rambled unclearly before breaking into another sob.
I closed my small notebook before saying "On second thought, I think that is enough from you for now." Before walking over to her daughter who sat blankly on the couch.
