Chapter 1: The Birthday
Hi, my name is Alyssa Black. I am turning eleven, and for my birthday, my mom got me tickets to a MAGIC SHOW. All day I thought of the magic show; what it would look like, what it would sound like, and most of all.... what row we're going to sit in. I hope it was either the first row, or the second row. I looked down at my ticket and it said: MAGIC SHOW 6:00-8:00pm SEAT NUMBER 5 FRONT ROW. I looked at the clock it was 5:00pm. One more hour until the show. I looked at my mom, and she told me " Why don't you keep yourself busy, time will go by faster." I took her advice and I started playing with my dog, Bruce. We played catch, and he did tricks ( and yes, i did give him treats). After what felt like one hour turned out to be only twenty minutes. I thought of another thing to do that would last me at least forty minutes.....TV! My mom walked over to the couch and told me that it takes about fifteen minutes to get to the show, so we'll have to leave the house at 5:45pm. Only twenty-five minutes of TV, then we leave for the show. I kept glancing at the clock thinking time would go by faster...
