Abused

Chapter 2

I wake up at 4 am and I go down stairs I grab a box of Cheerios, pop tarts, two water bottles, a juice box, made us peanut butter jelly sandwiches and grabbed 2 paper bowls I put them in my bag. I ate a pop tart grabed my moms keys and picked up Emily while she sleeps I put her in the back seat with a pillow and blanket.

I decided to not go on a plane and just drive the whole way because planes are scary and It saves money so now we can stay in hotels until I get on my feet.

I run inside grab the bag and another water I put the water in my cup holder and the bag in the back seat in case she wakes up and wants to eat

  I start the car and drive off I didn't know which way I was supposed to go and I don't have a phone so I used my moms gps i looked up the UK and it says I have to drive for 20 hours!! , well i Guess we're stopping at a hotel tonight.

I drive and decide to listen to music until I noticed Emily's still asleep I turn off the radio and keep driving.

******4 hours later****8am

I hear Emily wake up and I glance in the mirror "morning sunshine" I say smiling at her "wh-where are we, and how the heck did I get in here?" She says giggling

"We're going to the UK to get away from mommy and daddy, and I put u in here when you were sleeping silly"

"Oh" she says smiling  "you hungry?" I ask and she nods  

"You can get something in the bag If you want" I say and she takes out a pop tart and a juice box.

"Mackenzie Can you turn on the music?" She asks taking a sip of her juice.

"Sure" I turn it on and songs we like, but don't really know come on, we were never allowed to listen to music.

Emily starts humming along to some song called best song ever or something like that by something direct.     

A few hours later we need gas. "You need to go potty?" I ask as we pull up to the gas station. "Yeah" she says and hops out I grab 10 dollars and we walk in i let her use the bathroom first, then I go.

I get out grab her hand and ask "do you want anything here" . "No thank you" she says smiling.

I walk up to the line "can you put 10$ on number 5?" I ask handing him the money and he nods we walk back to the car, I pump in the gas and we leave.

She eats some cheerios and sings to new songs she learned. I laugh and sing along, we play I spy and talk a little until she falls asleep awhile later.

Its now 12am and I'm tired of driving so I stop at a hotel

I pick up Emily on my back and grab the bag. I lock the car and walk in the hotel where there's a lady sitting at the desk.

"Hello, i was wondering if I can rent a room for the night?" I ask

"Mhmm, 30 dollars" she says I hand her it and she hands me a key that says room 203.

I go in a elevator and make my way to the room. I walk in and let her got to sleep on the bed. I put down the bag and sit out side on the balcony thinking of what I will do when we arrive at the UK tomorrow, I figured we just stay in a hotel and I get a job and enough money for a house, clothes, and food, hopefully making friends on the way.
