Chapter 3: Confidence In Me

Daniel's POV

I was comforting Martha, she said that she was a good friend of Pat so I tried to calm her down. Once I calmed her down a bit I saw Pat running out of the nurse's office. She saw us and rushed away. I tried to run after her but Martha got my arm in a pleading way to stay with her. I can't take her arm of me she was struggling to be with me.

I rushed to Pat's direction where she rushed off to. I was a bit converned for her. When she took off I saw her face. Her expression was annoyed. Once I saw her took off in her car I just went back to class and let the day run by.

I'm such an idiot.

Patricia's POV

Once I awoke from my deep slumber I had a grimace look on my face. I freshened up and changed my clothes to look something a bit casual. Only a plain white shirt with a ribbon on the collar part and ordinary jeans with a knee length boots.

I went down stairs to find my mom cooking me breakfast. I show a weak yet convincing smile on my face. I ate my breakfast which consists of just toast again. I'm not feeling that special today to prepare my own breakfast. I feel gloomy all of the sudden. I went to my mom and kissed her on the cheek and waved goodbye to my dad and said that I was walking to my school. I saw Sage my bestfriend and also walking to the school. I haven't seen her much since that she was busy with the student body organization. "Hey Pat how's life?". "Great....real great." I said with a sarcastic tone. "I see... Martha again, right?". "Yep" I said popping the P. I sighed as we saw the silhouette of the school coming to a running distance. "Wanna race?". She said with excitement in her tone. "Anytime" I said with determination. I sprinted towards the school as I saw the schoolgates closing. She's catchng up to me better pick up the pace I said.

Running first place to the gate I gave her a bottle of water, "thanks Pat". "No problem Sage". Then we saw Danny with his friends from track and field, Jamie, Harris, Aloy, and Nick. Nick is the flirt of the team so the second I saw him he ran up to me and hugged me from the backside. Nick is also my bestfriend so Im a bit ok with it, I know how he rolls. I saw Danny giving him a glare and I just returned the hug. The thing that doesn't know is that I only treat him as a big brother. Besides he secretly has a girlfriend and that is Sage. Sage is cool that Nick is being a flirt to me but to other girls they better watch out for Sage, thay might get there butts kicked. Rolling my eyes mentally at the sight of them almost fighting me and Sage got to the school grounds and to the canten we had 15 minutes left before class starts so there's still more time to eat. The thing is I never get fat ;D hehehe. I only ate dessert so I can go to class a bit faster.

I rushed to class to find Martha seating next to Danny with eyes that can be glued forever. Gross. Having thoughts like that can bring me down so I just started reading from my books. What they didn't know is that there will be a suprise long quiz later ;). Im evil huahuahua.

The teacher suddenly arrived with papers that read SUCCESS in my mind. As for my other classmates they are just sitting with gaping mouths as they didn't about the suprise quiz.

I mentally rolled my eyes at them for being a bit unprepared for it. Good thing I was a clever person to stalk on other teachers to find them planning on the topics on what they were gonna put on the quiz.

Listening to the other students moping around like children (well not really) I just reached out for the papers that were given to us.
I saw that it was a bit easy because of the essays. Good thing I almost memorized some of the items there.

After the quiz the bell rang and we headed out to lunch. I saw Nick with the other basketball plauers as usual and he rushed towards me again hugging me from behind. I struggled to get out of his grip. "Don't struggle to get off me I know your weakness". Then he tickled me almost to death. "HAHAHAHAH STAAAAHHHPPP STOP IT IM DYING HAHAHA" he stopped and I gasped for air because of the lack of air. I punched him playfully as he retrieved his arms to his side. All of the students were in the canteen and everything is loud like hell broke loose. I quickly ate my food which consists of a hamburger. As I sat down I saw Martha with Daniel...again. I rushed out of the canteen because I would like to have some alone time. I rushed to my lockers and saw three girls around my age come bye.

Unknown POV

She just went out with both Danny and Nick she's a bimbo alright.
Me and the other girl's rushed after her as we saw her stop on the side of her locker. "Time to have some fun".

Patricia's POV

The girls then had an evil look on her face which made my spine shiver. The one in the left came up to me and locked my arms on the wall while the two started punching my face and stomach. I kicked both of them as I quickly punched the girl that was holding me from the wall. I started running towards the hallways with the three on my heels. I started parkouring up the stairs. To the rooftop deck. I jumped to the top of the entrance as I saw them run to the balcony part. I quickly jumped down and sprint away from them. My face has a bit of a bruise but I brought my concealer. I went to the restroom and put a bit of concealer on my left cheek. The pain was still present. I lifted my shirt up to see the stomach part a bit swollen and dark because of their punches. I put also a bit of concealer there. Looks like Im not gonna dance next week also. I remembered the singing contest this friday and I can still practice though. I wanted to compete but my chances now are a bit loose. I might crack my voice because of the pain. I got out of the restroom to find the three girls there outside but there were many people left in the corridors so they cant hurt me the leader whispered in my ear. "You got lucky this time". Then rushed out of my sight. "What do they want from me". I whispered to myself. Letting out a sigh I winced in pain because of my stomach. I ignores it and went down to my upcoming class I was a bit late, late for 5 minutes. The teacher scolded me for being late so she gave a five paragraph special homework due tomorrow. Nick and Danny were at my class looking at me. Nick knew that I was never late for class so he gave me a weird look. Both of them gave me worried stares which made me nervous.

TIME SKIP FOR 30 MINS.

Class was dismissed I knew that Nick and Daniel would rush out to find me but I rushed out of class first than anyone. I headed towards the rooftop of the school. I cried and let out a mumble. I heard footsteps going to the rooftop. I wiped my tears away and jump to the entrance of the roof keeping my body lowered so the people wouldn't see me. Nick and Danny were there and behind them was Martha. I groaned and felt myself falling apart. I ran down and sprinted towards the hall so they can get lost because of a big crowd. Tears slowly streaming towards my face as I got away from them. I wrote a slip again so I can be excused from classes again. I was sobbing inside but outside Im only trying to be normal.
As I waited for my mom to pick me up a flashback of the memories of yesterday and today kept running through my mind. Its destroying me. I put on a fake smile again as I went to my mom's car.

As I rushed to my room I silently cried and sobbed into my pillow. I wanted to disappear but I will try to get of my fears tomorrow. I just sang to keep myself calm a bit.

I opened my fb account to find mean comments.

Hatred160: what a two timer I hope she will be dumped by one of them

Tomboy42: wala siyang forever sana mawala na siya

Liar54: sana mabasa niya lahat ito at wag ka na pumasok bukas you're only a background and a shadow to other people.

As I watched the other comments go by tears slowly streamed down my eyes. I wanted to move but I know I can't....or maybe I can.....to the Philippines. I deleted my accounts in twitter and facebook. I called mom to make arrangements to the Philippones she said that I can directly to college since I already finished the last semester for our fourth year highschool. I left without saying a word to Danny or to Nick.

IN THE NEXT CHAPTER WE WILL SEE PAT ON HER TRIP TO THE PHILIPPINES AND HER EDUCATION IN UP DILIMAN. BUT WE WILL SEE HER ON THE STAGE FIRST AS SHE SINGS HER FINAL SONG IN AMERICA.
