Looking to my left, I could see my little sister. With cuts and bits of debris surrounding her tiny body. I couldn't see to the front seat where my mother and father were sitting, and my younger brothers body being crushed instantly on impact was an image that I would want forever erased from my mind. I could hear sirens, and people yelling out to anyone inside of the now destroyed car. I started so move myself around, trying to get out, once I knew I would be able to get out I moved onto helping my sister out. Her body was very limp and I was surprised that I could find a pulse on her at all. I few tears slipped out of the edge of my eyes as I tried to gather Jasmines small body into my arms. The window closest to me hadn't fully smashed so I had to carefully kick the window in to free us from the wreckage. I slowly climbed out and placed Jasmine on the ground in her still unconscious form. Merely seconds after we had escaped paramedics were surrounding us and ushering us off into ambulances. There was no way my sister would be going on her own. And with a little persistence the ambulance officers and myself agreed that we were all going to the same place, so I could accompany her to the hospital. I remember jumping out of the ambulance and suddenly being taken in the opposite direction of Jasmine. I remember the horrible commotion I had caused in the hallway, and I remember lashing out on a nurse that get too close. But the last thing I remember before I drifted into unconsciousness was the feeling I felt when I dropped to the ground in tears, the sudden event finally dawning on me. My family was dead.
