Chapter 10: Friends?

Mackenzie's POV:

Dear Dumb Diary,
I didn't even know what to say, my head had so many mixed emotions! Should I be mad that she stole my diary or should I be happy because she finally told me why she was always mean to me and that she is actually jealous of me and wants to be my friend.

"So what's your answer? We don't have all day!" Rachael hissed.

"I mean, I guess we can be friends-not best friends, friends." I held my hand out so she could shake it.

"Omg thank you so much!" Paige squeezed the life out of my hand.

Rachael gave the both of us a dirty look.."Ugh, does that means I have to be friends with her too?"

I gave Rachael a look. "No, you don't have to...but since you're my bestie you would understand and become friends with Paige..."

Rachael sighed. "Ugh, fine."

At lunch...

I sat next to Izzy. "Guess what?"

"What?" She asked while she was about to sip her soda.

"Paige and I are friends!" I said.

Izzy spits out her soda and it lands on screaming Rachael! "You what? Why?"

"What the heck Izzy? I love this shirt!" Rachael stormed out of the lunch room into the bathroom.

"Well she apologized, and said that she was jealous because I have a better life." I said.

"Oh, does she still like Bryan?" Izzy asked.

"Yeah probably." I frowned.

"Well, good news! She said that he likes you!" Izzy pointed to the line that Paige wrote.

"Yeah but...I don't really think Bryan and I would work. Maybe she deserves him." I smiled.

"Really? I thought you loved him!" Izzy laughed.

"Well...we're too young to know what love is. I guess I only liked Bryan because he was cute, I don't really know him. We barely talk anymore. It's more of just staring at each other. We never really got to know each other. Now I feel bad to even like him because I don't know him." I frowned.

"Oh wow" Izzy's made an "o" shape form with her mouth.

"Yeah, so how's your love life going?" I asked.

"Eh, I don't really like anyone at the moment." Izzy shrugged.

"Guess who's back?" Rachael said popping out of nowhere.

"Hey Rachael, sorry for spitting all over your clothes." Izzy said.

"It's fine, I was able to get it out." Rachael smiled.

I smiled "I'm glad that we are all friends!"

"Yeah!" They both said.

"I don't even know what I'll do without you guys." We all hugged.

After school...

Rachael came over and we watched a lot of movies on Netflix. Then she left. I went up stairs to take a shower. Once I finished brushing my hair I hopped into my bed and fell fast asleep.. I'm glad that Paige is my friend....
