A battle that she could never win

She lie there.
Scuffed armor, cut, bruised, in pain. She looked up to see him and he made a sly comment about her lose, probably just to make her understand, but she finally couldn't take anymore. She began to yell, standing shakily.

"LOOK. I'm SO sorry that I'm a freak, geek, nerd, weeaboo piece of shit but I'm fighting everyday for the freedom to be me without a single problem. I love you, do not get me wrong, but you do step over the edge sometimes. I hate that I'm sensitive about some things but the way you phrase your words makes it worse. It's not that I can't take a joke, I probably think of some of the worst jokes of all time. I'm terrified most of the time talking to almost anyone, especially you because I'll say something too revealing and you'll just run away..." hot tears start to pour down her face, using everything left in her to explain what she was. "Yes, I like to cosplay in extravagant costumes from anime. I love write crazy, unbelievable stories. I...I..." she grunts, "even now I'm too scared to say everything. I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!" The sword slipped that she was supported on and the boy caught her. She shook, racked with sobs. "I'm sorry, I hate myself sometimes but the rest of the time I embrace it...when I'm isolated with no one to see me."

She looked up from her sitting position, her legs pulled up to her chest and her black hoodie sleeves pulled over her hands. She heard his voice. She looked up to see him smiling over her. He made a sly comment about the small argument the two of them had the other night. She bit her tongue and smile politely while in her head she prayed that he didn't notice the twinge of pain that flashed in her eyes.
