My Otaku Rival

Prologue

We've known each other since we were young, so I guess you could call us "childhood friends."

From primary school to middle school we were rivals but not any ordinary rivals, we were otaku rivals. Julian and I would compete about who's more like who has more posters, figurines, who's the best cosplayer/ roleplayer, and who's went to more anime conventions. We were also in our little squad with our friends Sakura, Shiro, Brianna (An for short), and Amira. We had fun but everything changed once all of us stepped through the gates leading to our new high school lives.

Characters

Angie Haruna- Girl

Angie is Julian's childhood friend. She is a fujoshi (Fujoshi are girls who like BoyxBoy, BL, basically Gay Love) and otaku but she is actually dense when it comes to her love life but she can help her friends with their love life. Angie is 15 and was born on May 22. Angie is obsessed with beating Julian at EVERYTHING anime related.

Julian Yamazaki- Boy

Julian is Angie's childhood friend. Julian has always beaten Angie in anime related things. After a incident when Angie and Julian were kids, Julian realized his feelings for her wasn't just as friends. Julian is also 15 and has the same birthday as Angie.

Shiro Yukino- Boy

Shiro is Julian's best friends, a ex-playboy, and Amira's little brother. Shiro has had a unrequited love with Angie since middle school after she lectured him about what's good and what's bad. Shiro doesn't know that Julian likes Angie too. Shiro likes anime but not as much; he's more a gamer than a otaku.

Brianna Hamada- Girl

Brianna (An for short) has had a crush on Shiro for about the same time Shiro has liked Angie. An used to be a shy girl but thought she would change her appearance when she got to high school.

Amira Yamazaki- Boy

Amira is Julian's older brother, Amira isn't really an otaku but knows about anime because of Julian. Their story of how they met will be uncovered in future chapters!

Sakura Sugimoto- Girl

Sakura is a year older than everyone else and so is Julian's older brother, Amira. Sakura is knowledgeable about anime and games but she isn't into it HARDCORE like Angie and Julian are. Sakura & Amira are in their 2nd year of highschool and they have a secret... WHICH you can find out by actively reading this story!
