London POV
I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock.
I quickly swung my arm to hit the snooze button. After a couple minutes of laying in my bed, observing the plain walls, I sat up and got out of bed.
I walked... Actually no, I dragged my body to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready.
Today is my first day of my new school. Exciting right.
My dad got a new job location, forcing my whole family to move half way around the country. Now I have to start a new school in junior year. It doesn't end there though. It's a rich-white prep school. Way to go dad!
I started to rummage through the closet looking for something to wear. Of course I want to look good on my first day, but I just want to give Highland a sneak peak.
I decided to go with a simple light pink crop top with some light blue ripped jeans and concord Jordans.
I heard a knock on the door. "London you up?" Chris asked.
"Your a little late Chris" I said while opening the door. Chris is my brother.
I have 3 brothers and a sister. Yeah I know, tragic. My brothers are Chris, Matt, and Drew. Chris is 23, Matt is 21, and Drew is 18. My little sister, Amira, is 15.
"I was just making sure. I'm off to work now." He said while walking in.
"Okay."
"Hey, I'm really sorry dad couldn't see you on your first day. You look beautiful and I'm sure if he were here he would say the same thing."
That got me thinking. Dad is almost never here. Or it just feels that way. Ever since we moved here all he's either been out working or working in his office at home.
"Yeah. I know he has work and stuff." I said a little more sarcastic than I wanted it to sound.
"Yeah. He just has a lot of work now but soon things will become more normal.... Like it used to." I gave him a sad smile.
"Anyways, I'm gonna go now. You finish getting ready, breakfast is on the stove, watch after Amira, and don't let Drew get you guys to school late." Chris said, then kissed my forehead.
"Okay, bye" I said basically pushing him out.
"Oh and London?"
I let out a small huff before I answered. "Yes Chris?"
"Change your outfit. You are going to a Private prep school, not a strip club. They don't need to see your stomach. First impressions are key." He stated as he walked out the door.
"What!?"
"Love you!" And with that he closed the door.
Urgg, I'm already hating this school. After I was completely finished getting dressed....again, I got my book bag and headed downstairs.
"Mornin Lo" Matt greeted.
"Hey Matt. Umm where is everyone else?"
"Drew was waiting for you, so probably in the Living room and Amira never came down." I wasn't surprised because she takes ages to get ready for school.
After we were all ready we got into Andrew's car and drove to school. With Andrew's driving I didn't know if we were actually going to make it there alive.
