*LAURENCE POV*

Me and the guys had just gotten home from Katelyn's play at the community center. Dante and Travis are still snickering over what happened. Garroth is keeping his distance from me, trying to avoid any awkwardness.

I don't know how I feel. At first, I was disgusted. I mean, come on! I had kissed my best friend! Not on purpose, mind you! I was also angry that I didn't get to kiss Aphmau. But now I'm just confused. It felt kind of....right.

This was all Lucinda's fault. If only I hadn't taken her stupid potion.

*GARROTH'S POV*

I know I've always liked Aphmau. But when Laurence was the one to kiss me, it felt....familiar. I've always had the tiniest man crush on Laurence. And that kiss just brought my feelings for him higher.

That's it. I have to bring what happened to light. I think it's about time I also told Laurence my feelings.

Dante and Travis retreat into their rooms, still giggling. Just as Laurence was about to enter his room, I stop him.

"Hey, L-laurence?"

"Yeah Garroth?"

"I-I think we should talk about what happened tonight."

He sighs. "I think we should, too. Come in."

*LAURENCE POV*

"I think we should, too. Come in."

We enter my room and seat ourselves on my bed. Garroth is looking down at the floor, sitting there awkwardly. "So, um...." He begins. I stay quiet, allowing him to speak.

"I'm just going to say it." He looks up at me."When the k-kiss happened, it felt familiar. Comforting. And it made me realize I've had feelings for you. You don't have to return those feelings, but I just thought you should know." Garroth blushes heavily.

I rest my hand on his. "It's ...okay. I think I might have feelings for you too."

He looks me in the eyes, a small smile forming on his lips. "R-really?"

I smile warmly at him and do something unexpected. I lean in and plant a short, sweet kiss on his lips. "Really."
