It sucks not having family, clothes, money, etc. I learn how to live without food, the simplest of necessities, let me tell you how. I have always had a brother, Now when I say brother yes I have a blood brother relative brother but I also have a small group of cherished ones that I call brothers. Now as I have said I grew up with no money so how did I live? My cherished ones a.k.a. brothers helped raised me and when I needed something it was simply taken for me.We grew up on the streets,we scavenged recycled and also did a lot of illegal activities that should not have been done at the tender age that we were.
Now if you read back into my past memories you might think of my story as some hood rat wanna be gangster girl. But I feel like I grew into much more because of what we went thru. Don't get me wrong I didn't live on the streets I just never really had a place to call my home. After being passed around by the family members that were willing to take me in and shipped off yet again. I finally arrived at the only family member left and yet most uncomfortable one bedroom apartment you could think of. My very loving aunt that I call Tia had 3 boys and no job, Ya
I know how do you live? Well that's where the streets came in , you see my Tia was a single mother whom received help from the govt. to help her with us and because there were four of us it made it very hard for her to work or even keep a job. So once I finally decided this is my place to try and call home I knew I needed to help my Tia how ever possible to keep a roof over our heads. My three cousins that I adopted as brothers were all around my age to that also helped a lot. We all became inseparable, slept together shared each other's everything. We were young and didn't know any better about hygiene and groceries. So getting in trouble about petty things were very common in my inner sanctum. I started collecting cans at first which was tiresome and was only getting me chump change! My brothers on the other hand became very skilled pickpocket's which always scared the crap out of me but hey we didn't know any better. We would scavenge in the middle of the night for really any thing we thought would bring us some type of pay. So like I said we were living of the streets to make ends meat literally sometimes. Once we got to the age to travel longer distances is where we really started the wrong doing aka illegal activities. We walked everywhere of course but really preferred the creeks to move around the neighborhood. Traveling the creeks we were able to scavenge without being seen and actually met knew people on our quest. One fine weekend we actual tried getting into a persons car that was parked around the creeks system and got caught but we got lucky that the guy that the car belonged to just laughed about our less then obvious handy work of trying to open a car. Dav was his name and he invited us down to the creek where he and his let's say 'crew' were hang out by a barrel burning.
