It was a very peculiar situation, one minute we're happily soaring through the universe in hopes of finding a new home planet, and the next, we're hurdling towards the planet that had already been claimed by the tallest, and strangest of creatures- humans.
At the point of our adventure's beginning, the four of us had already been ship-wrecked for three days. It was Mun, Cleel, Dorion and the dashing, responsible, modest, handsome and daring young leader, me, Lodi. Having all of these qualities isn't as easy as it sounds. The night that our big adventure began was the day that our team of aliens noticed that I had forgotten to refill the food bins. It sounds outlandish for someone with such a positive and impressive celebrity status, but it's not my fault. If it weren't for the other hooligans distracting me with all their immaturity, telling me how to do my job, I wouldn't have had to hold their heads on straight. Thus meaning I wouldn't have forgotten.
It was unacceptable, that night, I was being held by my hands and feet on the ground when I noticed a strange noise. Content giggles and lots of conversation happening right outside of our ship. I looked out to see multiple miniature humans of different sizes causing a commotion. It seems that humans have an alter ego, hideous faces of terror and shock. One's child's face fell right off to reveal an innocent, soft and gentle kind of round face. It was confusing, but my genius instincts told me to continue my observations.
Seeing my fellow aliens bicker of hunger was not a pleasant sight. I had to make it up to them, but how? I noticed that these creatures were lining up at strangers' parked ships that humans seem to call "houses". I evinced that with a particular word, a special word, a silly and unusual word, these tall goddesses would fill the children's bags with food. I knew that I would find this word, and save the group.
I announced my findings to the rest, and of course they responded brilliantly. I voluntold Dorion to be a man and hold down the fort, and repair it, while the rest of us fought the harsh outside world. We hadn't left the ship for days, and I was concerned that we wouldn't make it back alive. Of course I didn't share this thought to the rest, I wouldn't want to worry them. The three of us hid behind a large hedge to get a closer look of what we were up against.
"It's alright Cleel," I assured her. "They all have food. All of them. Smell it?" I explained the plan to Cleel and Mun as they looked more and more intrigued. We were at first tempted to rob one child of his food, but we thought we may as well get our own. These children could be starving too. I grabbed hold of Mun's hand, I could tell he was tense. I wasn't nervous at all though. I then dropped his hand and crept up cautiously so that I could hear the word.
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, two obnoxious animals came running towards us. We could have died, but we remained calm and stayed strong. One was mewing, and the larger one was wagging the antennae attached to his behind as if he were excited. The stupid creature knocked me to the ground and attempted to devour me whole with just his tongue. I put up quite the fight and could have hurt the animal if I wanted to, but decided against the idea to make a good impression towards the others. A high-pitched whistling noise came from behind. It scared the bejeepers out of the other two, and the dog too apparently because he ran away.
"Now watch and extend your hearing." I instructed. We needed to hear the magic word. We all peered past the hedge to see children wearing outfits that weren't a sight for sore eyes. One was dressed in a high peaked hat and was riding a broom, another resembled a miniature old man and the third was covered in skulls. The door opened to reveal a man. The tall man gave them each a piece of food, and they moved on. But it seemed as if I was the only one to hear the word. That is why I am the leader.
"Clang-heads" I declared. We walked up to the last house with a light. I was pushed into the leading position, as per usual, so I confidently pranced up to the door and knocked. A light rose over our heads and a gorgeous, tall woman stood in the doorway. I flapped my antennae passionately, I was in love. My heart almost stopped, I felt as if my hearts were melting. That was it, I had to say the word.
"Triggertree?" I said softly. I lifted my eyes to see the beauty in full detail. More gorgeous than a blood purple lilac at the crack of dawn. She knelt before me and started blabbering on about non-sense. All I cared about at that moment was receiving the food... And getting married. She started complementing our costumes. She disappeared into the house without reason and just when I thought that all our hard work was for nothing, she returned with three enormous sacks of food. I was astonished. Although there wasn't a sack for Dorion, and I certainly wasn't going to share, it's the thought that counts. She told us to go home before our mother started worrying, whatever a mother is, and I had no choice but to jump for joy. I leaped into the fine lady's arms and hung from her neck, waiting for a marriage proposal, but instead, she kissed me right before the antennae, and we weren't even married yet, how scandalous! It was wonderful.
The whole way back to the ship, I explained to the others how to go about finding their own special lady, It takes charm and looks. I will always remember that word "Triggertree". Considering we crash landed on a strange planet, the evening went well. Not that it's a surprise when I'm in control. I couldn't wait to tell Dorion all about it. I knew how jealous he would be.
