"Bye." I said, as I hung up the phone. Just great. I put the phone down, and put my head in my hands. The auto repair man wouldn't be here for another 3 hours. On the side of the highway, in a car that won't run, is not the best place to be for 10 minutes, let alone 3 hours. I guess I could catch a ride with someone, or something. I picked my head up, and got out of the car. May as well try, I guess. Wait, I have no idea how to do this. Let's try it like on T.V. Maybe that will work. I stuck my thumb out, just as a silver blur flew past. I pulled my thumb back. Did I do something wrong? I hear the sound of an engine again, and turn to look. The same silver car, slowing down this time, rolls up. The window rolls down , and I walk over to it. "Get in," a honey-sweet-but-rough-at-the-same-time voice says.
