Chapter eleven: "Stay."

Dipper's (POV)

That morning it was finally sunny, apart from all the rain we had for the past four days. When I awoke Wendy was by the cave opening, and just sitting there. She didn't move or talk or well do anything. I was actually worried about her. I walked up to her, and tapped her shoulder to get her attention. She turned to me and sighed. I flattened my ears when she did that. I put my hand on her shoulder, and she put her paw on top on my hand. She looked so unhappy, even after everything we have been through. I hugged her and she licked me. I finally decided to talk to her.

"Wendy, what's wrong?"

"I still have to find those wolves."

"What, no! Even after we escaped the hunters, even after Ralphie got attacked, you're still worried about the stupid wolves?!"

She growled when I said that and pinned me down.

"You don't understand, those wolves did so much to us, they need pay back!"

"Why do you care so much?!"

"Because I care about you! Don't you get it, they hurt you! If it wasn't for me saving your sorry tail you would be dog food right now! They can't get away with that!"

I paused as Wendy started to cry. I didn't know all of it was because if me. I knew she was mad at them for taking me, but this? I never knew. I then hugged Wendy and she held me back. I pulled her to the ground with me as I continued to hold her. I shed a tear in her shoulder before I spoke up.

"Wendy, please stay. You can't go because...."

I started to sing to her as I held her in my arms tighter.

"My whole life."

"Waiting for the right time."

"To tell you how I feel."

"And through I tried to."

"Tell you that I need you."

"Here I am without you."

"I feel so lost, but what can I do?"

"Because I know this love seems real."

"But I don't know how to feel."

"We say goodbye in the pouring rain. And I broke down as you walked away."

"So please Wendy..."

"Stay, stay."

"Cause all my life I've felt this way."

"But could never find the words to say."

"Stay, stay."

When I stopped she held me tighter.
I held her back and pulled her down to the ground and started to cry in her shoulder. When finally let me up, she smiled before she spoke up again.

"Okay, I won't go if you won't."

"I wouldn't dream of it."

She smiled again and I smiled back at her. We hugged again and this time our foreheads touched, and I looked into her beautiful emerald green eyes. My heart started to beat fast and I blushed. I looked at her and she blushed too. I gave her a sheepish smile and she just laughed. The rain as finally stopped and the sun was shining bright. We walked outside and I smiled. I looked back at her, and she smiled.

We both ran outside and played like there was no tomorrow. We chased each other around, we played in the flowers, we played in the creek, and had the time of our lives. When we were done playing, we sat down on a hill and watched the sunset. It was beautiful, but I say Wendy was gorgeous. My heart started to beat faster and faster, every time I looked at her. I knew what this ment I fell in love with a wolf.
