She grew up in a small village named Cauzay. The oldest of three children. Trouble following her everywhere she went, she always seemed to tarnish her family name since birth.
She was about five feet tall, red hair and freckled face. Her eyes gleaming lavender jemstones of another world. The wings on her back and the tail that trailed behind her, brought prejudice upon her from others. How she and her siblings would cause trouble in Cauzay; pick pocketing, pranks, trickery, all the while wearing innocent faces.
When the crops became sad children in the face of famine or drought, she was blamed. "Its that dreaded bird girl!" "To hell with that family!" The final blow came when she was twelve and a plague draped the land. The plague was inescapable. The boils. The blisters. The tears of pain as children burried their loved ones and parents buried their children. The rodent infestation, the tornados of giganitc locusts, hardly anyone survived. Inculding young Star Roses family. Star Rose watched in horror as her family slipped through her fingers like lard, one by one. One dreaded night of coughing and sneezing after another, the putrid, contaminated air... until silence.
With life in the village being scarce, and young Star Rose orphaned, the young avian was blamed for it all and forced into exile, proceeding into the dark unknown.
To be exiled from the saftey of the trees that surrounded the village meant venturing out into a world of savagery. A world wrought with danger, monsters, wicked beings, barbarians and sorcerers. Star Rose had to venture out of Cauzay's boundaries and into the dreaded Shrrg (sh-urg) Mountains. The Shrrg were a group of large bipedal wolves as intelligent (if not more so) as humans. Large, scraggly wolf manes ranging in shades from brown, white, black, red and blue. A full grown Shrrg was eight feet tall, with dagger like claws growing up to two inches in length, long canines roughly the same length draped the mouth. The Shrrg were remarkably just as civilized as humans. They found thirteen year old Star Rose unconscious buy a lake at the foot of one of the mountains and took her with them back to their home. The Shrrg decided to take Star Rose in and continue to raise her as one of their own. Under the watchful eye of the wolves, Star learned the way of the Shrrg. She learned to hunt, fight and most of all, the meaning of family. At age fifteen, the elf in her couldn't help but hunger and thirst for knowledge. She began to read anything she could get her hands on, old battle plans, diaries, cookbooks, hymnals, legends, myths. At age sixteen, she ventured out on her own, holding true to the teachings of the Shrrg wolves and her desire for knowledge abundantly.
After a few months she comes across and elderly man not long for this earth. He wore and old cloak and peasant shirt, had a longd scraggly beard and light gray skin. The man took her under his wing and taught her the blacksmith trade. Impressed by her hunger and will for knowledge, he revealed to her his crippled wings damaged from many battles, as well as his identity.
"I am Amer-Gand, one of the many legendary warriors of this kingdom. You, young Star Rose are a descendant of the great winged elf race known as the Aiedail. Stay if your hunger for knowledge is so greatly uquenched!"
Star Rose continued to study under Amer-Gand developing strange and wonderous abilities as an illusionist. She gained the ability to read minds, fly faster than light, and manipulate emotions into doppelgangers.
After the passing of great Amer-Gand, Star Rose continued her journey to fight for others who couldn't stand for themselves and teach those long thought unteachable in the remarkable world of Htrae.
