Today was the day that would change my life forever. Which thinking about it made me more and more nervous. I took a deep breath in and reached my hand into my pant pocket making sure the square box was still inside there. By palms became for sweaty and I felt myself getting hot.
Relax. I said to myself it's not like she's gonna say no.... Or maybe she can say no. I felt a lump in my throat and I breathed in and out slowly again then she noticed me having a mini fit.
"Jack, are you okay?" She asked laughing, "what's wrong?". I didn't know what to say "oh, yah it's nothing. It's just really hot." I replied casually making sure she believed me. She smiled at me and took my hand, squeezing it. I looked around and admired the bright blue sky and the fine fresh smell of the grass we were both sitting on.
This is it. I thought, I should just go for it. I took a small look at her and couldn't help but smile, everything about her is perfect. Her long pretty blonde hair, her cute little nose, her sparkly brown eyes. I've realized what made me want to finally ask her this important question. I thought through all the memories and steps we climbed to get to this point, it's all what's pushing me to ask her this question.
I'm doing it. Now.
Before I could think about anything else I decided to just say it. Just let it get off my chest.
"I have to ask you something-"
Everything seemed to stop. Nothing was moving. Everything was still. It all seems like I'm dreaming, but I know I'm not. I felt my head slightly move and my eyes started flashing weird pictures. Memories.
