"Elizabeth, can you tell me who the president of Saudi Arabia is?"

     "Oh, uh Salman bin Abdulaziz?"

"Correct. I'm glad to see you were actually paying attention" I could see everyone looking at me. It's true, I hadn't been paying attention but only because I had been thinking about Ezra. He was like a dream come true. His smile was brighter than most people's futures, and I wish I had the courage to at least talk to him. What if he doesn't even like me? Maybe he thinks I'm just an annoying, snotty cheerleader. God, I hope not. He's perfect.

"Oh come on Lizzy. It's not that bad. At least he knows you exist. He's on the football team, and you're a cheerleader. It's meant to be."

"I know Mel, I just think about how many other girls like him. Seriously, he's like the most popular guy in school."

"And, you Miss Elizabeth Arden, are a beautiful, smart young lady who is perfect for Ezra." Hanna was shoving salad in her mouth like her life depended on it, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"What? Do I have something in my teeth?" She opened her mouth and rubbed her teeth.

"There was nothing in your teeth Hanna," Mel said, trying to hide a smile, "Now come on, there's only a few minutes 'til next period and I need to swing by my locker."
