A young boy sat quietly in the meadow, he knew that a girl would come crashing through the trees at any moment, not just any girl, but a girl he already knew his heart belonged to. Even at such a young age, he knew he would never love any one but her.
As the years past his love only grew greater, though never once did he admit to her how greatly he desired her to love him back, she was there, and that was enough, always by his side, he could cope.
As they reached adult hood still he hid his love, fearing that it would pain her. Slowly he watched as the girl that un knowingly held his heart, fell deeply and un conditionally, in love with his best friend.
Again many years past as he put a smile on his face, he smiled as he sat watching her glide down the aisle, straight past him, he smiled as she fell pregnant with his best friends baby, he smiled as was granted god father of the child he longed to be his. His smile held so many tears.
Over the years he wrote so many letters, the characters describing his deep love the girl who could never love him back. He never sent them. If she was happy, then he would cope.
As their hairs grew grey and they're days grew short, his smile finally broke when he saw her casket lowered into the earth.
At that moment he no longer wanted her love, all he wanted was for her to still be alive.
The next night her son found him dead in that same meadow.
It appears his love was not oblivious to all.
He was buried by her side.
