Sorry if it sucks comment if you actually found it good and want me to proceed.

You had attempted to be reserved and distant with your fellow team members, but it seemed to get harder every day. At first, it was easy. You avoided any and all "team" activities outside the normal training and missions, eluded any kind of socialization, and warded off any attempts to get you to stay in your assigned room in the cave. These tactics worked for the most part until Bart Allen came along.

Not to give the impression that you didn't want to be on the team, you did. You loved being able to help people with your powers, but you feared the rejection you would face if the others were to get to know you. Nobody seemed to like you when they knew you well enough. Therefore when Bart Allen traveled back through time and got stuck here, it became your personal hell. He seemed to take a liking to you, always trying to talk to you and volunteering to be your sparring partner.

You had tried everything to ward him off. Ignoring him when he tried to start a conversation with you, hitting him harder than necessary when sparring, and avoiding him in general. However, he kept trying. Bart would keep talking as if you answered him when you didn't. He just laughed when you hit him harder than you should have. When you tried to hide from him in the cave, he would always find you somehow and start talking.

This kept up for weeks until you almost lost your mind. He made you so nervous, because this interaction could only go on so long before something happened. Unfortunately for you, it did.

It was a training day, and Nightwing wanted everyone to spar one at a time, so everyone could observe what they did wrong. You prayed silently hoping you would be partnered with anyone else but him. Unfortunately, the fates were not on your side when Bart volunteered to be your partner once again. As you waited your turn, Bart kept whispering jokes in your ear. You didn't like how close he was standing to you. It felt too personal like you were friends, which you weren't.

You could have tolerated it like you tolerated everything Bart had done so far, but you were so tried of this. Bart was too close and too loud for you to handle. It was suffocating. Having a urgent need to stop his whispering and to get some space, you turn to push him away. Disastrously, you ended up punching him instead.

Bart fell to the ground, holding his jaw. The echo of the impact resonated throughout the room, causing everyone to stop what they were doing to look at you. You hadn't meant to hit him, only to push him away. Opening your mouth, you tried to explain yourself as everyone gathered around. As you tried to find the words, you began to panic when you felt everyone's stares on you. It wasn't until you felt Nightwing's hand on your shoulder did you run.

You ran to the zeta tubes in a terror, ignoring the calls of your name behind you. A hand tried to grab your arm, but you brushed it off as you disappeared into the tube.

Stumbling out of the zeta tube's phone booth entrance and into the rain. You didn't know where you were, but you kept running. Tears were streaming down your face, mixing in with the rain as you ran across a busy street. Cars honked at you, along with the shouts of other pedestrians. You narrowly escaped from being hit. Your only thoughts were to get away.

On the sidewalk once again, you pushed past people. The suffocating feeling you had from before returned as the people were too close and too loud. You turned into a empty alley. Soothed by the lack of people, you slowed down into a jog. You were soaked to the bone as you made your way down the alley. When you looked down at your feet for a second, realizing you weren't wearing shoes.

Feeling a rush of air and water beside you, you look up to see Bart Allen suddenly appear in front of you. You screamed, skidding to a halt as you attempt to run the other way only to have Bart appear in front of you again.

"(Y/N), calm down," he soothed, holding up his hands like you were a scared animal.

You take a few slow steps away from him, sobs shaking your body. "Why can't you leave me alone," you shout, wanting to know why he was doing this to you.

"Because I like you," Bart said bluntly. He took a step towards you. You watched him wide-eyed, taking another step back.

"No, you don't. No one likes me," you argue, shaking your head at him as your tears blended in with the rain trailing down your face.

Bart gave you a sad smile, "You're wrong about that."

"How do you know that," you demanded. You hated how he acted as if he knew you. It felt like all your attempts to be distant from everyone were in vain.

"I know because I knew you," Bart replied calmly. He took a step towards you. You are surprised by the certainty of his statement. Bart took your silence as permission to continue. "In the future, you saved me. When I lost my father, you were there to help me through it. You kept me safe from the Reach and I fell in love with you. Even though the differences between our ages wouldn't allow anything to come from it, I loved you."

You stare at Bart in shocked silence. Never did you assume that Bart knew you in the future, suddenly everything made sense. Bart continued with his story, "You died saving me from Blue Beetle.I almost couldn't handle it." He had tears in his eyes. "I was lost for a time until I found Neutron who sent me here. When I first saw you after arriving here, I fell in love with you all over again. The only difference this time is that I can tell you. I love you, (Y/N)."

Bart is only a step away from you now, having moved closer throughout his speech. You look at him with disbelief. "Even if you did know me from your future, I'm not the same person you fell in love with."

"I know," Bart admits, looking you straight in the eye. "That's why I want to get to know you. I'm sorry for scaring you. I was too pushy and I know that now." He smiled. "Can you forgive me?"

You watch him with uncertainty. Bart was standing close to you, but it didn't suffocate you. Actually, it felt natural. You wipe your eyes as the rain continued to pour down on both of you. Taking a deep breath, you decided to trust him. "I forgive you, Bart."

He grinned at you brightly. "Well, now that the serious stuff is over." Bart shuffled awkwardly. "I happen to live near here with my honorary great-grandparents. Do you want to go over there with me?" He held out his hand for you.

"I'd like that," you answered taking his offered hand with a tiny smile.

Bart smiled back cheesy before commenting, "This is going to be so crash." You rolled your eyes at him as you both walked hand in hand out of the alley. The rain was still pouring, but either of you seemed to mind.
