Changing into a pair of jean shorts and a Greenday muscle t-shirt, Demi ran down the stairs, grabbed an apple and entered her friends red convertible . It was currently 4am and no one and nothing was awake, just 4 kids and the city lights.

"Did you bring snacks?" Asked the blonde "Of course" Miles replies grabbing a pack of Cheetos from a bag "Good" She smiles. "Turn the radio on" Demi said with her mouth full of hot Cheetos. Luke pressed the little button and turned the volume up to full.

"We're here" the blonde boy says. The clock says 4:55am and the sun had slightly risen, The minute her feet touched the soft sand she closed her eyes and took in the smell of the ocean, this is how she wanted to spend the rest of her life, On the sand of the California coast at 4 in the morning with a bunch of idiots.

Setting their blanket on the sand, they turned to see the sky turning pink like fairy floss. "California's beautiful" Luke points out "Yeah" Melanie smiles in agreement "Hey uh, guys?" Luke says "Yeah?" Miles and Demi say in unison "Luke and I have some news" Melanie says, holding back a smile "Our parents thought we were old enough to handle our own home..." Luke starts "Wait, you guys are moving out?" Demi asks "Actually our parents are moving out, they said they wanted to go back to Florida. So they are... Today, we've got the house to ourselves" Melanie giggles "Good for you" Miles states as Demi nods in agreement "...Well, there's 2 more rooms and we thought you guys could fill in those spots?" Luke says "Are you being real now?" Demi smiles "100%" Melanie reassures as she pulls everyone into a giant hug "I'll ask my mom right away" Miles says smiling "I'll be there by noon" Demi announced "What about your mom?" Melanie asks "She's barely there, I'll leave a note or something" she shrugs "What? Hey mom I moved out over night!" Luke says imitating her voice "Yeah" Demi jokes.

She ends the conversation dragging her boxes down the stairs when she hears a horn honk from outside "HELP!" She screams when Luke walks in the door "What happened?" He asks worried "Help me with my boxes" she giggles "Right" he says scratching the back of his neck as he carries a few of the boxes outside. "So, which room do I get?" She asks breaking the silence "The one next to mine so I can annoy you" Luke smirks as she rolls her eyes "Yay" she replies sarcastically "Very yay" He replies seriously closing the car door making her giggle.

Arriving at her new home she walks in to see Melanie watching a re-run of Friends on the couch "DEMI!""MELANIE!" She mocks "I can't believe you're moving in" Melanie giggles "Me neither""Where's my room?" She continued "Oh, to the left. Luke'll show you it's beside his cause Miles wanted the one with good cell service to reach McKenna" Melanie says before she gags "You weren't kidding?" Demi says as she turns to Luke "Of course not, it was a special request" He smiles, booping her nose lightly "Oh you did not just-" She says offended "Oh, Demi Rae but I did" He replies dramatically carrying her boxes upstairs. Once all her boxes are moved she kicks Luke out...no literally kicked him out...and started unpacking. She knows that she had just moved in, but it already felt more like home than her actual home and she liked it...very much.

"How bout we stay home and watch a movie tonight?" Miles asks "You mean do nothing? Nah" Demi disagrees "Let's go to the beach" Melanie suggests "Sounds good, I'll bring the tent" Miles says going with it.
